There are no pets allowed in the rooms but there are kennel facilities at WDW... The prices for boarding are not unreasonable...

As far as I know, pets are not allowed in any WDW resort.

Service animals are allowed, of course.

The new luxury facility will not be owned or operated by Disney. It will be located at the Bonnet Creek Resort.

Actually, the luxury pet "resort" will be located on Bonnet Creek Parkway, which runs through WDW property. (The entrances to the Port Orleans resorts are off of Bonnet Creek Parkway.) Although it won't be operated by Disney, it will be on Disney property.

The luxury pet "resort" will not be at the Bonnet Creek Resort, which is a master-planned, off-site, non-Disney development near Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The Bonnet Creek Resort already includes a timeshare resort, and several hotels are planned or under construction.

The ONLY exception is Ft. Wilderness campground. They have some camping loops designated strictly for pet owners. Guests staying there can have their pet with them at their own campsite, and staying in their own camper.

The majority of the campsites at Ft. Wilderness do not allow pets, and pets cannot be taken into common areas.

I suspect that not all pet owners can part with their "kids". I don't blame them.

When we stayed at the Disneyland hotel this summer the person in the hotel room next to us had the cutest little white dog. I'm guessing he wasn't a seeing eye dog, but I was curious how he was able to get him in around the no pet rules.

There are a variety of service animals trained to assist their owners with different disabilities. All ADA service animals have special tags, IDs that their owners carry and usually special locater chip implants (in the animal, not the owner). If in doubt, report it to management.

Definitely! If you see someone with a pet, call the front desk. If it is a service animal, they will already know about it. I sure don't want my dues to go up to cover damages due to pets staying in the villas.
