My boyfriend and I have talked back and forth about various ideas and we both thought of having our pet bird be out ring bearer. :rotfl:

His name is Tuki and here's a pic of him:

We're in the process of getting him a flight suit so we can take him for walks outside (he LOVES being outside) and in our search for a good one, we found one that's like a tuxedo, so it would be perfect. Here's an example on a much bigger bird:

I would imagine if we do an Epcot ceremony, it would be a definite no, but I was wondering if anyone knew if pets could be a part of any of the WDW ceremonies?

Thanks!!

Edit: Sorry about the picture size! I have no idea how to change it, as my boyfriend is the one who got it online. :(

i dont think disney allows pets in the ceremony...if they did my Peanut would be in the wedding!!

i REALLY wanted my little kitties ( we have 4  ) in my wedding, but they hate the car, i can just imagine a plane...

i don't think disney would allow pets, i'm not even sure they allow pets in their resorts...

The answer is no. Sorry but Disney will absolutely not allow this. Good idea though.

Skylarr29 is correct. This has come up before, and the answer for DFTW is always no. Sorry!

There's a kennel at DLR, so I figured Disney was a bit more pet friendly. I can't imagine leaving Tuki for 2 whole weeks and I'm not sure I'd ever trust hired help to take care of him. I had a parakeet when I was a kid and I went on vacation with my mom. My aunt watched the bird for us, but didn't want to run up our heating bill, so she just stayed covered up and didn't use the heater. It was too cold for the bird and he caught a cold and died soon after I got back. I have no clue what I'll be doing with my current birdie now. :scared:

Have checked with the vet? My old roommate went to Penn Vet School, and she watched a bird for a long weekend for someone. I don't know if there is a vet school near you that you could contact. I know she got paid for it, but she also wanted to specialize in aviary medicine so it was something that she really enjoyed.

i too hate leaving my babies! they get so sad and then hold grudges when we get back. i split my time between two sets of friends, they come over once a day and check on them...

A year ago, almost to the day, my grey cheek went in for surgery with what was supposed to be one of the best vets in the country (conveniently located a couple hours away). It cost $1600 for the vet to accidentally nick a vein and have my pet bleed to death on the operating table. I had that bird for 16 years and was more attached than anyone can imagine. So now that I've finally got a new bird, I'm more paranoid than ever about leaving it in someone else's care. I'll probably look for a hotel that will let me bring it. 2 or 3 hours of attention each day from the people he loves will be much better than the same or less from a stranger.

Definitely check with your vet. If they don't board animals they would know of a reputable place that will.

As for animals, Disney's answer is "no." No pets in the ceremony, no butterfly releases, no animals involved in weddings whatsoever.
