Petition to Disney - Re: Large Tour Groups

I'm not for limiting anyones access to the parks. I just want the rules to apply equally to everybody. The line jumping at Soarin' last year was unbelievable. We were riding standby and had been in line for about 45 minutes, when in the span of about 15 minutes, several groups of 7-15 people rudely pushed past us to join their party. They were all from the same group. I know that it added a significant length of time to our wait and the people around us were fed up with it. I complained to a Cast Member when we got to the place where the line splits and was told that there was nothing they could do. There is something that can be done but it will take Disney to do it. We did not encounter any large groups this year. I have seen bad behavior in groups of all size and from anywhere. Let's just all get along.

This comes down to management, it really does. CMs aren't the polite police or anything, but CMs can alert security. When this happens at DLR people can and sometimes do get pulled out of line and sometimes ejected from the parks. But management has to empower CMs and security to do so, and has to value the guest experience enough to acknowledge the issue.

To me, it seems very simple. Disney needs to say: "Here are out rules. If you break them we will kick you out of the park and revoke your admission tickets." Then they need to follow through. Do it a few times, and the problem is solved.

I agree with this. We've been there among tour groups and although never been dangerous there were instances that did cause us to just leave a park. It is unfair to other patrons who have paid to be there. If they simply enforced the rules, this issue should significantly decrease (as would the numerous posts!).

Oh, and IMHO, anyone who uses the term "elitist snob" is not much higher on the rung.

Hey guys, I just came across this on Facebook. It appears that someone (a DVC member) has created a petition to Disney regarding large tour groups, and the safety of other guests. What do you guys think?

I think it's a laughable piece of closed minded intolerance. I've never witnessed any such behavior from the tour groups with the exception of the singing and cheering, which is just their way of expressing their exuberance at being at WDW. Yes, sometimes it can be a little loud and annoying, but they move on and so should the initiator of this petition.

"No, no. I mean everyone. You're all bothering me. I want to be left alone. Clearly, the only way that's gonna happen is to be alone. So I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to let you all go. [pause] Except the Yankees and the Knicks... and the Yankees and the Knicks are gonna need someone to play, so keep the Red Sox and the Lakers... and the Laker girls, and The Palm ... and we'll need to keep the people who work at The Palm. That's it though: the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Knicks, the Lakers, the Laker girls, and anyone who works at The Palm. Sports, Laker girls, and a well-prepared steak. That's all I need... Sometimes, I like to mix it up with Italian... and Chinese. All right, you can all stay, but don't bug me. You're on probation. Don't forget. I was this close to banishing you."

Anytime my SO and I find ourselves stuck in crowds of irritating people, or having to deal with one too many idiot drivers trying to cross 4 lanes of traffic in 50 feet, etc, etc, we say we're "having a Toby Ziegler moment".

Folks I am closing this down.
I suggest those that are interested will follow the link.

However this is offensive to international visitors and has no place on TPAS.
