Peter Pan- rope drop or FP?

Which is generally the better plan? We currently have a FP for 12:30, but I've read the FP line can get long. Would it be better to rope drop it and FP something else??

For that day our other FPs are Ariel's Grotto and Buzz. We were going to hit fantasy land at rope drop and do Pooh, Dumbo, Speedway, Under the Sea, etc.... We have 7DMT, Belle, and space mountain on our other day. Our kids are 9 and 5.

I really liked pp at rope drop because the queue is so fun! I think going straight there the wait was 25 min. But we were enjoying the surroundings

I agree with rope drop for PP then and possibly FP for Speedway because that loads slowly.

You'll get a lot done in the first couple of hours in Fantasyland before your FPs.

Personally, I prefer to use most of my FPs in Fantasyland and then rope drop everything else. The vast majority of the people at rope drop will be going straight to Fantasyland, so if you veer off toward Tomorrowland or Adventureland you can hit the major attractions everywhere else in the park in the first hour. I usually do FPs for PP, SDMT, and Splash and then in the first hour after rope drop I'll do Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Haunted Mansion so that I get all the heavy hitters out of the way while everyone else is busy in Fantasyland.

We plan to do PP at RD so we can go through the queue. We went in May, did the pre-opening BOG ressie, rode mine train first and then went straight to PP and the wait was still only about 15-20 minutes. To us the new queue for that one is worth a small wait. I agree that Speedway is a good use of a FP.
