Peter Pan help!

We watched the Fantasmic show last night so tonight we will skip it! I know fantasyland closes for the fireworks. Where is the best place to stand during the fireworks to be able to “walk fast” to Peter Pan and get in line?! One ride we haven’t got to get that is on our to do list. Hoping to get it at a shorter wait time.

I did this one year.

1. You need to be in Fantasyland, at the carousal / gate entrance to Toads Wild Ride.
2. Look on the ground and you will see a line of metal pole stoppers in the ground between the carousal / gate entrance to Toads Wild Ride
3. This is where they put the ropes up to close Fantasyland during the fireworks
4. You need to be at this area BEFORE they close Fantasyland.
5. I was in the area and watching the CM's from about 8pm
6. As soon as the CM's put the ropes up, the pr line up for Peter Pan starts
7. The pre line starts at the rope and follows the hedge
8. I was first in line and when people started lining up behind me, the CM's put a rope line beside us.
9. The hedge was at my left hand and the rope pen was at my right hand
10. This all happened BEFORE the fireworks, about 8.30pm
11. We stayed in that lineup for the fireworks.
12. It was a really cool experience, as fireworks are set off from The Castle in front of us and ToonTown town behind us
13. After the fireworks we could see The Fire Marshal checking The Castle.
14. Once The Fire Marshal gave the all clear, at about 10.15pm ONLY the pre line for Peter Pan was allowed into Fantasyland. We were "walked" by a CM into Toads Wild Ride Garden and held there while the CM's went back into all the rides and turned everything back on.
15. The ropes were still up keeping everyone else out of Fantasyland
16. Once Peter Pan was ready to load, a CM "walked" us from Toads Wild Ride into the line for Peter Pan.
17. I was behind the CM and we walked all the way through the entire line for Peter Pan and right up to the first waiting boat.
18. Once all of us from the pre line up were in the regular Peter Pan line, the CM's opened Fantasyland for everyone

probably, but it wasnt just like being in the regular queue. We chatted to the CM's before the fireworks, as they had to stay by the ropes to make sure no one went into Fantasyland. We saw the fireworks from a very cool angle, including a great view of Tinkerbell flying, then we watched the Fire Marshall. We also had the entertainment of the CM's telling people that the pre line for Peter Pan ended waaay back that way.

I'm mostly thinking about whether or not my hips/back can take it. That's a long time to be standing in the same spot.

but you are not standing in the same spot for the whole time. The longest part is at the rope, along the hedge, before, during and after the fireworks. They you get moved to Toads Wild Ride Garden for a shorter wait. Its so cool being "walked into Peter Pan line while everyone else is held at the ropes outside Fantasyland and watching you be first on the ride

Normally - we visit MK 2 times for RD on one of them we go to fantasyland and ride a majority of the rides with Peter Pan being the first and using FP later for the big rides - seem to work for us.
