Peter Pan at RD - EMH day versus non-EMH Day?

We have 2 MK days planned, 1 is EMH, 1 is not.

We currently plan to RD Peter Pan on our non-EMH day. But...I'm wondering if I switch it to our EMH day, is there that much of a difference in how long we'll be in line?

I know nowadays most people are heading towards 7D or A&E at RD, so I'm not sure how busy Peter Pan will be?

If you want to see the new extended queue, you might need to wait and let a bit of a line build.

I went last month and didn't see a line for Peter Pan lower than 45 minutes regardless of whether it was EMH or not. It was packed the whole time.

Even right at RD? I was hoping if we head straight there we'd maybe get to see a 15-20 minute line. Touring Plans shows 15 at RD

During wishes or later is a good option if you only want to wait 5-10 minutes.
Unfortunately this isn't an option for us, as we'll be traveling with small kids that will want to see wishes, and we'll leave after that

I understand. My kids only like to see Wishes once, and then we use our other nights in the park to hit some headliners with really short wait times.

Our experience since New Fantasyland opened is that PP is pretty much walk on if you go straight there at rope drop, even if you are not at the front of the crowd. Most people are running to 7DMT, A&E and ETWB first. The line starts building quickly, but usually for that first 5 or maybe even 10 minutes it isn't that bad.

ITA. We've never waited even 15 minutes for Peter Pan at RD, and we hang back to let the A&E/7DMT hoards get their running-not-running ya-yas out. On our last trip, we didn't have enough of a wait at RD to fully experience the new queue. Pretty much once you walk through the queue, you're going to be boarding a ride vehicle.

This is a good idea, we're going to see Wishes on our first MK night, if she's up to it that's a good suggestion for our 2nd MK day.

This is so good to know! We have our FP's all ready for 7D and A&E so we definitely won't be following that crowd. I'm hoping this keeps lines down for other things we want to do during the first hour or two at RD

We rode PP after our pre park reservations at BOG and walked right on. This was on Tues, May 5th. We even let some people pass us by so that we could see some parts of the interactive queue... Most of the rope droppers that we saw were headed for mine train and A&E...

We went straight to Peter Pan at RD in March on an EMH day and it was a complete walk on. We did get to walk through the extended queue.

We did something new last trip (mid-March). At rope drop, we lesiurely strolled down Main Street (even stopped to take some photos in front of the castle). Made us feel like noobies. :)

We intentionally took our time because we wanted to go through the Interactive Queue at Peter Pan. Worked like pixie dust. There was enough of a line that we could fully experience the queue, but it didn't take us more than 10 minutes to get through the queue and onto the ride.

I would going at rope drop as both EMH and regular days most people still head straight for Peter Pan or one of the mountains or Elsa M&G.
if you really want to ride the Peter Pan ride with minimal wait id go straight from ropedrop on any day!

Like most things, the posted wait times during EMH are longer than the actual waits.

As others have said, if you go right to PP when the park opens you will walk right on. A line will build pretty quickly, but it will not get that long in the first half hour. I agree with the others who say that you shouldn't have to wait more than 15 minutes if you go directly there and arrive anytime within the first half hour.

I just returned from the second of two trips about a month apart (travelling with different family members each time). On 3 different days, twice the week after Easter when EMH started at 7 AM, and once last Thursday, we did PP during EMH. We intentionally held off on PP until the second half hour so that a line would build up a little and give us time in the new queue area. We also like to exit PP as close as possible to when the park opens to all guests because then we go right to Frontierland for BTMRR and Splash.

Last Thursday, we didn't get to PP until about 8:45 after riding 7DMT, Space Mountain, and Buzz. The posted wait was 40 minutes and our actual wait was about 25. That is longer than we waited during the second half hours of the 7 AM openings when we arrived a little earlier, and waited 10-15 minutes with posted waits of 25.

Help me make a choice, pleas.
Option 1: straight to PP at rope drop. Walk through the new queue and allow others to pass us as needed. (You can do this, right?). Walk and explore new Fantasyland (no rides, just taking in details- we haven't been to WDW in a couple of years) until 9:40. Ride Dumbo, Goofy, and maybe The Little Mermaid before 10:30.

Option 2: take in details until 9:25, ride Peter Pan, and then continue on with Dumbo, Goofy, and the Little Mermaid.

Does it matter if I enter Peter Pan at 9:00 vs. 9:20 if I want to see the new queue?

Whichever option you take, I would do at least a couple of rides first and then take in the details of the new Fantasyland.

Given the rides you mentioned, I would go right to PP and take your time through the line as you wish to see the new queue, letting people pass if necessary. Then do the other rides while making one loop through Fantasyland and, if you feel like it, make another slower loop to take in the details. Barnstormer, Dumbo, and UTS are all pretty close together so you wouldn't be doing a lot of extra walking, but you could avoid a significant amount of line time doing the rides as early as possible without having to rush.

We rode PP right after RD the other day - we came out of CRT and the RD crowd was already loose. We walked right through the queue, and were only held up because they stopped the ride for a few minutes. By the time we got off it the line was long.
