Pete we need to show Disney our fan powers!!

I don't usually post or participate I'm a lingerer but you can count me in to be part of this! I also have many family members who will be happy to participate as well. I think DVC members as well as annual passholders should be identified..................just get me the address John (I've already started my draft).

Let's not classify anyone who chooses to join D23 in a negative way. They feel that it is something they want to be a part of and something they think will have value to them.

No name calling please.

Thanks
John
Keep in mind Pete blogged that he joined up. I don't know that I feel it is worth it, but I am still trying to decide myself. I think the value is terrible and Disney isn't taking us into consideration but I see myself buying the magazine anyway. They can keep their certificate - that is a waste of postage. My letter is in the mail.

I agree. I am going to join for the magazine because I'd just buy it anyway. To get a few other tiny perks and anything else that might come along is just a bonus! :)

Should we mark the outside of the envelope with a "message"?!?
...like "D23 could be better", or "Remember the common man", or "a little money but no respect"
...etc?

A note to all:

I think we need to keep D23 and a loyalty program letters separate.

Does Disney need a loyalty program? Yes. Write a letter to them and let them know your thoughts on this.

They created D23 for those of us who love the history of Disney. D23 was never meant as a loyalty program, that was a hope of the online Disney community and correctly/incorrectly assumed by many as what was coming in D23. Write a second letter to let them know you thoughts on D23, good or bad, but do not mix/confuse 2 entirely different programs into your preceptions of what you assumed D23 was before it was announced.

Just my opinion, take it for what it is worth.

I think the letter should include exactly what you think/feel on this issue. If you are unhappy with D23 say it. If you think D23 is terrific - say that. If you were hoping for a 'loyality' program for frequent travelers let them know that as well.

I don't think it should be a form letter and it certainly shouldn't reflect a 'group' concensus. The essence of the issue will get filtered out if enough people write in.

I also like the idea if you are a DVC member or Disney Visa Cardholder, etc. to include that info as well. That is powerful information for them to see exactly who is taking the time to write to them.

Don't forget to mention if you are a stockholder - they seem to care about we think (most of the time anyway!)
