Pete talks coffee... ok so what is the best

I think you should need a prescription for Dark Magic! I unintentionally got a LOT of late night work done after a cup of that!!!

:rotfl2:

I pretty much only like Starbucks Sumatra, ( extra bold & earthy). Do you know if the dark magic tastes anything like that? I have not found anything so far that is strong enough for me.

I haven't had the Starbucks Sumatra, but Dark Magic is dark, strong coffee. If you are having trouble finding something strong enough, this would be worth a try.

Favorite daily for Keurig is Tully's French Roast. A close second, is Green Mountain, Sumatra. (I like that dark, burnt taste, LOL).

For flavors, Chocolate glazed donut!

Pete - or anyone else with the Tassimo? How do you work the cappuccino / latte deal? You buy the latte coffee discs and then you buy the frothing disc and use them one after another?

We are Keurig people, but we got a free Tassimo a few weeks ago, and so are checking it out as well (you should see my kitchen counter - 2 single serve machines, toaster, bread box, the regular Mr. Coffee maker that still gets some use ... need to scale down).

The Starbucks T-discs are good, but I didn't realize you got less in the box (because they are bigger so they can have more grounds in them), so that's a bit of a drawback given how much coffee we drink.

With the cappuccino / latte for the Tassimo it usually comes with the milk disc and the expresso disc in the same package.

You do one disc at a time in the machine.

I like Diedrich's Morning Edition and Santa Buzz (wow, strong!!).

My daily coffee is Jet Fuel, I think it's by Coffee People. I find it strong like Starbucks:-)

My coffee bar is the same- I have a Grind and Brew, Kuerig, and French Press for the weekends! Favorite Keurig is the Dark Magic, Organic XBold Newman, and Jet Fuel. I use Peet's Coffees for the Grind and Brew and French Press. If you like Starbucks coffees, you will love Peets!!

We've had our Tassimo since Christmas, and it's been an absolute pleasure! Pete is right about the Starbucks latte . . . it is mercifully unsweetened, too.

Still looking for a good decaf in a T-disc, though. So far, all I have found is Maxwell House.

Oh, Yeah! Those are my favorites for the Keurig too! Dh and I used to drink espresso, then our machine died and we decided (after all the recommendations on this board) to try a Keurig.

We love our Keurig, in fact we have one that we keep in our Owners Locker because we love having a good cup of coffee while at WDW.

Thanks to both of you! (having some Dark Magic from my half-working Keurig right now - so I think we will becoming T-disc users in the near future!)

Try calling Keurig first. My in laws called them and they knew there was an issue with that model. Since they bought it at Costco, they told them just to exchange it there and they sent them some extra K-Cups for the trouble. If you didn't buy it at Costco, it wouldn't hurt to call up and see what they can do for you before you go buy another machine.

Thanks - we have called once - told to descale it - did that - hubby is on the hook to call them again this week. I thought we bought ours after that pump problem was fixed, so who knows? Today, I got about a 1/2" of coffee in my mug on the largest setting and tons of water going back into the water chamber. I love it, but I've heard an awful lot of reports of people on the their 2nd, 3rd, 4th one from Keurig. I'm not buying another one - I use the Tassimo instead. We've only had our Keurig since April.

(sorry for the hijack - I can't even remember what the original thread was on!)

Love my Kuerig. We aren't big coffee drinkers, so it is perfect.

My family that does drink coffee all love Donut Shop.

Does anyone know if the Chocolate Glazed Donut comes in decaf? I'm finding myself wanting to try it. I'm currently obsessed with the Hot Apple Cider with a splash of caramel coffee syrup. Yum! Might have to go make one...:surfweb:

We've had our Tassimo under a month, and it is a necessity now! We had one hotel getaway a couple weeks ago . . . it got packed. It's coming with us when we fly down to WDW for Spring Break in April.

I'm from New England, and my favorite can be found practically on every other corner at a "Dunkin Donuts" (Dont yell !) When I am in the South, I love to go to Krispy Kreme, but only for the donuts, the coffee just doesn't do it there for me.

But for the Keurig I like the Green Mountain New England Blend, I think it is a medium roast.

Ohmigosh that cider mix sounds amazing... and I have sugar-free caramel syrup in the kitchen...

Another coffee fanatic here. My fave Kcups are Gloria Jeans Hazelnut. Perfect flavor but not too sweet-it still tastes like coffee. Also, love the Gloria Jeans tea Kcups. I have become somewhat of a tea snob, too! We are considering buying a smaller model to leave in our owner's locker. The thought of going two weeks without a good cup of Joe is a bit unnerving!:rotfl:

As much as I LOVE my Keurig.......many Keurigs "short cup". Descaling and doing all that stuff does not help. I called Keurig about 2 months after buying our first one since it was short cupping big time!! After 4 phone calls, they sent me out a new one since it was still under the warranty period. All I had to do is remove and send them the KCup holder from the bad Keurig. Knock on wood..so far so good on the new one. However, if this one craps out then Tassimo here I come!

Great idea.....I just use the coffee makers in the villas (we're DVC) with Peets coffee and bring lots of Starbucks Via! We don't have an owners locker. Don't like nor appreciate bad coffee....
