Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. I looked for a thread, but couldn't find one. Any word from the vet yet? Our 3 dogs and 4 cats send their love and concern, as do I.

He's doing well. The initial round of tests were negative - but I think I'm going to take him to another vet for an examination when we get back from the cruise. I wasn't particularly pleased with the run around I got today from the vet's office trying to get his results. The vet I spoke today was not the vet that examined him, knew nothing about what was going on and started making diagnoses over the phone - never having seen Max. For this crap I paid $300. I'm shocked as this is usually a good vet - but it might be time to look elsewhere.

Definately look around my first vet was usually good also but could not control my dogs seizures. He charged me $30 for every phone consultation and did nothing for him. I went to an old school doc and he fixed him up. He has had seizures for 11 years now and is doing fine on his phenobarb and potassium bromide combo. Hang in there and good luck. Keep us posted if you hear anything.

A second opinion is never a bad idea. With all the good energy coming your way , I hope Max never has another problem and the two of you 'live long and prosper' (sorry, just couldn't help it - it started today!).

Now go and have a good time surrounded by a gazillion of your closest friends and admirers, knowing that those of us stuck here on land are green with envy, and think up newer, better ways to be mysterious and tease us!

Yeah, I would get a second oppinion, 300 bucks, SERIOUSLY!?! That is why we have pet insurance now. Let us know how things go when you return. Have a great cruise (insert total jealous comment here)
