Having your family around you in a crisis can be a powerful thing...I've shared with just a couple of you that my sister was near death on Tuesday. We all rushed to her side to say goodbye -- it was the most painful thing I've ever had to do. As we took turns staying in the room with her something wonderful started to happen -- they're were just the slightest signs of improvement. We were still very guarded as the medical staff tried to keep us grounded. I came back home late Friday with a sister that was almost breathing on her own and requesting an Ultimate Cheeseburger from Jack In The Box!!! I truly feel in my heart that it was us showing her how much we loved and supported her that gave her the will to live.
This post isn't directly specifically towards Pete...but to all my friends on this board. If you have a relative that you haven't talked to lately or seen in awhile -- please take a minute to give them a call. I almost didn't have that opportunity with my sister again and will never forget it.
I am glad to her your sister is better! how scary!
