Pet Stocking Exchange Sent/Received

Lelu & Maxwell's package arrived last night from Sweetie & Meriweather; but we were unable to pick it up from the apartment office until today.

It contained not only one, but two adorable snowman stockings full of goodies:
2 boxes of Catty Shack Treats (chicken and shrimp & tuna flavors)
Purina Moist Wisker Lickens (salmon & tuna flavor)
Purina Tartar Control Wisker Lickens (tuna flavor)
2 Catnip Filled Plush Mice
Lepord Print Feather Balls
A Bungy Doornob Dangler
A Wand with Bungy String, Feathers, and Bell - Maxwell has been dragging this all over the house!
"Birds of a Thether" Toy (ball that spins feathers)

Besides all that, Sweetie & Meriweather sent goodies for me too!
A Green Chrismas Towel with Poinsettias
2 Pairs of Knit Gloves (putting those in the car!)
Snowman Shaped Playing Cards
A Mini Stocking full of Lindt Truffles (Love these!)
2 Yankee Candles (Hazelnut Coffee & Bannana Nut Bread) Mmmmm
And a Personalized Lime Green Dis Button!

Let me say, Lelu, Maxwell and I are all overwhellmed! The cats didn't know what to play with first. DH actually got Maxwell panting like a dog from playing so hard - never heard a cat do that before.

While this is off the topic of stockings, I wanted to share our news...

We went to Petco yesterday to purchase some more goodies for our exchange buddy (this was just prior to us shipping the package) and dear significant other stopped in the "small pet" area and we bought a guinea pig, we named him Simon. We bought him home and Valencia picked him up and held him and Sophie was so jealous that she wasn't get all the attention, she even ignored high value treats! I think she likes Simon but is a little disappointed that he doesn't play with her.

Nonetheless, while at work last night I was researching some information and it said you should keep the animals as pairs because they get lonely, so today, we went to petco (a different one, as we purchased the last one yesterday) and we purchased another one and we named him Solomon. They are great play buddies and we bought a huge ball for them to run around in around the house and now Sophie gets to play with them too! She loves her new brothers. Me on the other hand, while they are cute to look at, I've yet to touch it and I'm terrified of it! Lol, it got loose today and was on the floor and the second I saw it I screamed and jumped on the chair. Guess it will take some time to get used to.

Sorry I haven't been around much the last couple of days. I've been a little under the weather and I've lost my voice.

It's good to see some stockings arriving! I have about four people that haven't reported mailing their packages. PM's being sent shortly.

I used to have a hamster too when I was little. It used to "escape" and crawl up into the sofa. We were always afraid that we would squish it.

Angus got his stocking!!!! Thank you so much Malaysia! He is really excited about all his goodies. I took some pictures to share...
