Hey DISers! I am looking for information on Pet Insurance.
I've done some research of my own on google but wanted to come here for suggestions and information as well since I generally trust people's opinions here on the DIS.
I adopted a kitten last week and am probably going to be adopting another one very soon so that they can be companions

I just moved out on my own
and live in the Boston/Providence area (Fall River to be exact...hey don't judge if you're familiar with the area...it's cheap here and I'm young! lol!)
Anyway the Animal Rescue League of Boston has a program called the Spay Waggin' and it will be in my area at the end of the month and my kitten and probably the one I adopt will both be old enough to be spayed/neutered by then. It is $75 per cat and according to their website has:
For those familiar with the Boston area there is also a place called Merwin Animal Clinic in Allston which is a "free" clinic-all you pay for is the medication, and I have always left a donation of at least $20 when I've been there. I am planning on taking them here for their other shots. This clinic does not provide any real testing or surgery, just basic shots and I have taken my mom's cat and dog there when they got UTI's and was sent home with some prescriptions for that.
Anyways...so I have obviously planned for their shots and spay/neuter but I am looking into pet insurance for their life beyond that. I would hate to have them come up with some serious health issue that requires a surgery or expensive medication that I can't afford, so I would much rather be prepared.
I see that there are many plans out there, but if anyone can give me information and opinions if you have pet insurance then I would really appreciate it! I want my kitties to have the best lives possible
