Hi, following on from my 'Cat Dilemma' thread, I wondered if anyone could recommend a good insurer - my criteria is low premiums and no-fuss payouts!:rotfl: I have found the PDSA will insure for about £55 with £25 cashback through Quidco but the vet's bills are covered for accidental injury only up to £2000. Any thoughts?

when you are comparing them try and go for one thats pays out long term for illness.

most of them only pay out for 1 year for long term conditions ( ie skin complaint or diabetes) some more expensive policies pay for as long as the illness is present

:)

Pet plan are good, most are ok though.

BUT DEF NOT

E and L :scared1::scared1::scared1:
do NOT use them they are hopeless.

You will find alot of them are actually the same insurance but diff folk selling policies, kennel club,pdsa etc

Up to 2 grand should cover most things or I would be changing vet!!

What is the excess?
IS that per month?
My dogs have a saving acc rather than insurance, money by direct debit every month, they now have more money than me
:rotfl:

Pet plan is the best, not cheap but you do get what you pay for, any life time illness is covered as long as you keep up the premiums.

This is what we do as well. Since our dogs are so young I figured this was the best way to do it, especially since if they DON'T ever get ill it's not money down the drain. :goodvibes

I like pet plan too but some of the others have a premuim to pay for the life time illness.

I'll check out petplan. Tesco was £5.50, Argos £4.15 and PDSA was around £4.50 per month. My only concern is that they pay vet's bills if the cat is hurt or ill.
