Peru 2011

Hi pipch! I agree--the time will fly by. We were looking at Peru books at the bookstore and one talked about avoiding July 30-Aug 10 due to a holiday celebration of some sort in that section of Peru--however other books did not mention it. We have had great trips with ABD, and are comfortable with their planning so I am not too concerned--have you heard or read anything about events in early August?

We are myself, my DW, DD (turning 10 next week) and our DS (who will be 17 1/2 by then). We are looking forward to meeting you on this adventure!

Welove ABD - no I haven't read any books, but on line I only saw August 30th and 2nd as being festival days?? but I guess if there is a local festival it can only add to the colour and specticle of the adventure!!

I couldn't agree more--we always enjoy a good adventure, and part of what we love about ABD is getting into the culture (at least a little bit--and far more than the "step in take a photo and leave" tours that are out there).
