Hi :)

I am exercise illiterate but have lost and maintained 10 lbs in the last 6 months. I've been working on my pilates machine and can't seem to get rid of the last 10 to 15lbs.

I want to find a personal trainer but I don't belong to a gym. Do I have to belong to a gym first? Is there something I should be looking for in choosing a personal trainer?

TIA!
Deb

Nope... no need to belong to a gym. You can even visit a gym and they may offer you some names. You can find them in the phone book, or do a google search for personal trainers, while incluidng your zip code in the search.

Most important, I think, is to be on the same wavelength as your trainer. Don't just take the first one that will accept you as a client unless you and the trainer are in sync.

Thanks Papa :) I don't want one that is going to work me until I am throwing up that's for sure. I am a sissy workout girl. I totally hate it but know I won't push myself too much further. I'm lucky if I can get myself on the pilates machine 4 days per week. It's better than jogging but I still don't like it!

I call the local gym and get some names and numbers.

Thanks Again!

Deb

Oh, also that Scrapple sounds yummy. Do you have a recipe I can try?

It's isn't exactly healthy. :).... I don't make it. I buy it at the grocery store.

Good luck in your search......

Exercise is important, but so are eating habits. What's made the difference for me losing 18 pounds since Easter has been controlling my portions and cutting way down on the sweets.
