Personal fax or TP....is one "better" ?

Any idea there if personal room request faxes are more positively received than TP generated faxes? Or vice versa? Or no difference?

No difference whatsoever. They don't grade requests based on how they receive them
The things I like about using TP is, (and this is a biggie) I don't have to remember to do it, they do and they use "codes familiar to room assigners". It's not just that it lets them know what room I like, it gives them info on the things I like about the room, such as floor, direction it faces, etc so they can use that info to find other rooms that fit similar parameters.

Have to say I am having a lot of fun going through the room views on TP! I made an initial selection but am not ready to stop shopping. I just needed some reassurance that no higher value would be placed on a fax I went to the trouble to send myself instead of taking advantage of the TP method. Thanks.

This exactly. Which is why it's best to leave that line alone - or at least the part before the room numbers. Insert your info in the box for additional comments.

DVC has asked guests not to bother with faxing requests and just adding them to their reservation.

If you want to use their room selection tool to get to the fax request...start at the main WDW page, select more and then resorts. Several links on that page to the "room view" list of resorts. Hope that helps.

You have to go to your Dashboard and create a trip. Have your confirmation number handy too.
Once you create a trip you'll see where to select a room for your request and once you do that, you can edit the fax. Your reservation number will be needed for the create a fax step
