personal checks?

I read somewhere you can use personal checks to pay off your final bil. Is this correct? I hate credit cards, but don't want to be standing there as they point to a sign that says NO CHECKS ACCEPTED!
Anyone paid by check?

I'm not sure about the check policy...but does your bank have a "check card"...that's what we used..and is was much easer than having to hassle with the whole check acceptance thing. There are just WAY to many business now days that don't take personal checks...that we've found the check card to be the less complex way to go. Of course we have a seperate account just for travel....which also makes thing less complicated back at home....It also makes it easy to really keep track of what your spending and where. Just an idea.

We have paid by check our last 2 cruises and plan to do so in Dec. On a 3 day cruise you have a $200/day credit limit. When you reach that limit you go to guest services and write them a check. They make a call and process it right there for you. On the 7 day cruises your spending limit is $450/day. It is a very simple process, just takes a few minutes.
