I can't say it was a great part of our trip. I'll say the resort is a 5 out of 10 But it did afford us to spend more $$$ in stores. If you are looking for a budget resort, Disney goes out of their way to let you know you are on the low end of the totem pole while staying at one of the All-Star resorts. They are the furthest away from the MK and probably Epcot. The bus service for the All-Star resorts is pathetic. We waited for a half an hour for a bus to Blizzard Beach, while during the wait, we saw 4 MK busses drive through the parking lot. (Blizzard Beach is within walking distance on a cool day) Finally a bus came with a driver named Carlos and my wife asked him what took so long, he said "no habla ingles", I was think ing to myself at that time that we better not be in an emergency situation with him not speaking english. He spoke spanish everytime he got on the PA system in the bus. We had another non-english speaking driver when we went to Epcot on Thursday. I also counted 4 different routes used, when coming back from the MK to A-S Sports. There is also nothing to block out the sun while you wait unless you stand against the wall of the hotel. If you do stand against the wall, you will lose spots to people that will stand in line. It gets very hot when it is already 85-90 degrees and equal the humidity at 9:30AM. It is a great way to start the day. When you get to your park of the day, you get dropped off the furthest away and in turn have to walk the furthest to get on the bus that goes back to your All-Star resort. The main pool at the "Sports" resort looked a pale yellow-green at night and it felt like we were taking a bath because of it's extra warm water temp. The "Goofy" pool is the one to swim in. It was virtually empty every time we went and the water was much clearer and cooler. The elevators are dirty and have a slight odor to them. I saw people every where hanging over railings, smoking and drinking, while they talked on their cell phones. Our room had a broken drawer, which they never came to fix. They charged us for a refrigerator that we paid for upfront. (have to call WDW tomorrow) When I made the reservations they told me that I could take the family swimming at any WDW resort as long as I was staying at one of them. Well we found out that was wrong, right away. The room was much smaller than described and the beds were old and deformed. The matresses curved upwards on the outer edges. On the first night we were there, we had dinner in the restaurant. After we ate our main meal we went a ordered 4 of the Waffle sundae's. Well it took over twenty minutes to get them, because she said she didn't hear me say I needed four of them. We were the only ones in line at the time and there are 4 of us. I found the constant language barrier troublesome at times. I noticed a lot of employees having trouble understanding me. I just figured that since the park is in the U.S. that I shouldn't have that problem. It's great that people from other countries want to work for Disney but they should be able to communicate the primary language. We found a boy that had lost his family but he spoke no english either. He held on to a pole for life as we helped find an employee that could talk to him and they did. I think he was from Norway. Anyways back to the A-S Sports resort. The restaurant is decent. The gift shop is terrific!! But the rest I found to exude the fact that I didn't pay a lot to stay there and Disney reminded me of it everywhere I looked and smelled, especially around the main pool. That includes about 70% of the people staying there. Next time I will stay at the Contemporary or the Yacht Club. The other reason we stayed there is because our son picked it, and he didn't like it either, he's 8. I'll give a full review tomorrow night talking about the Dining plan, restaurants and the parks. I am sure I forgot a lot. Any questions??
