Perplexing question on contest voting

I have seen a increase of late here on the CB, of the threads looking for votes for various contests, usually 'how cute is my kid' or similar. What if two (or more) DIS folks post separate threads asking for votes for their kid, and it is the same contest? I know most folks blindly vote as requested, for whichever kid the thread is for, but if that is the case, does one vote for one kid (or whatever the contest is for) on one thread negate and 'cancel out' the effect of the vote for the kid on the other thread, if a person votes for both? Like voting for BOTH Bush AND Kerry, does one vote cancel the other vote?

Something to ponder. :confused3 :scratchin

Dan, I assume that you are talking about my thread, in the competition you are only able to vote once, the site logs your details and will not let you go back to vote again.

Hope that it's not against the rules to ask for votes, if so I apologise - as a mommy it's nice to have people think that your little one is cute and it's just for fun! :)

thanks
