Need help on which park to pick for 2nd day.We will only be doing 2 park days and of course one will be MK. I originally was planning on HS but with all the construction don't know if that would be a good choice. Our party consists of 4 adults and 4 children of which this will be the first trip for 2 children ages 7 & 4 the other 2 are ages 5 & 3 and have been twice already. We will be staying offsite. I just don't know which other park to chose they all love Disney Jr so that's why I was leaning towards HS and of course fantasmic at night but I must say that I am disappointed that Mike and Sulley are going to be gone along with Phineas and Ferb and Ligtning McQueen and Mater I'm assuming are gone also. Don't know if there would be enough for them to do all day at HS or AK or Epcot. If they had all been before I would just do both days at MK but would like my 2 grandsons that have never been to get to experience another park.I should also add that we will be going July10-16. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

AK will have a bunch of new experiences. DHS will have the new Star Wars fireworks show. Epcot will have the new Norway Frozen experiences.

One option is to do a 9-12 at AK as a third day (departure day).

If you have park hopers then MK on one day. MK until 2 on the next day and hop to DHS for fantasmic. Or hop to Epcot for world showcase and Illuminations.

If you do not have Park Hoppers then MK both days would be my vote...

Olaf should be meeting at DHS soon - at least well before your July trip.

If you have hoppers, you could morning at AK to do Safari, Lion King show, animal trails ( adults could hop on Everest single rider) and maybe Dinoland. Then take a lunch/swim/nap break and head to HS for evening with FP for TSMM, Muppets, Ariel, maybe B&B show, and see Fantasmic and SW fireworks(adults could hop on RnRC single rider).

I echo two days at MK. There is so much to do for that age group and they love to ride things more than once.

I would consider a third partial day at AK. Perhaps till noon or even better 1:30.

Short of that I would consider park hoppers.

1 Day at MK
1 DAY AK to DHS or Epcot.

Or

1 Day at MK
1 DAY MK hop to another park.

With two days and no hoppers

MK both days

or MK and AK (if AK is open late and you have FP+ or dinner reservation for ROL)

For kids that age, I would do MK both days and enjoy some favorites twice plus many character meet and greets, Festival of Fantasy, Laugh Floor, and Tom Sawyer Island would be on my list.

If you absolutely want a second park, I would pick HS for the Disney Junior show, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Beauty and the Beast. Don't they also have a frozen sing along now? Plus they could do the Toy Story meet and greet and Muppets show.

I love Epcot but with kiddos that age, I still think it is not a real fun park. If they are really into Frozen and you get fast passes...maybe.

I am not a huge AK fan but with all the additions and Rivers of Light...I may just change my mind. My 8 year old loves it but MK is still his favorite.

yes that's what I was thinking 2 days MK. Ideally I would love to have 3 or 4 day hoppers but that isn't in the cards for this trip unfortunately. This is a kind of last minute budget trip that my DDIL"s mother had points left on her timeshare that needed to be used by the end of July and she wasn't going to be able to use them so she booked this trip for my DDIL,which is the only way/reason we are able to go and we are driving down so no airfare. We do have a breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey's so the kids can see the fab5 and we are planning on taking them to T-rex and Disney Springs and do some resort hopping so they can see all the huge icons and get some photos and a day off at the resort for pool time and relaxing. We will have a full kitchen so most breakfast and dinners will be there or offsite. They are all my grandsons(no granddaughter's here :worried:) and aren't into Frozen except Olaf and aren't into the princesses so no need for those kind of things. The 5 year old is a big star wars fan and is my little daredevil he will ride anything and gets upset that he isn't tall enough to do some of the bigger rides however they did just go this past November and he was able to ride Everest for the first time he was so excited when he got off he told his parents he wanted to call his Nana( ME ) and tell me so they bought him a shirt that said I conquered Everest and taped him in a video saying Nana I Conquered Everest now next time you have to come and ride it with me lol and sent it to me via
IPhone,it was too cute. I am sure whatever plans we end up with they will all enjoy it. Thanks for all the advice much appreciated! :thanks:

Either 2 MK days or 1 MK day and 1 day DHS (AM) and AK (PM) if you have hoppers.

I agree with two days at MK in this case for their ages and also as it has the most attractions

Well after that you GOTTA goto AK! :thumbsup2 Such a sweet story and beautiful memory.
Definitely MK one day and AK the other. MK will have all the "old faithful" rides, characters, and experiences, while AK has tons of new additions and is very interactive for everyone IMHO. I would have voted DHS for day 2 but it seems that the bulk of what they are removing relates to younger kiddos/families. I think at this time AK would offer more to do (rides, shows, trails, etc).
You can't go wrong at the end of the day, you're in Disney World:goodvibes

If kids were a little older, i'd say epcot but at this age I might say AK. Take a safari, see some shows, go the petting zoo. If they're good swimmers, kids love the water parks too.

Do you think the kids will like the shows at DHS? If they are not into shows, it may not be worth it. I am sad that Mike and Sulley and Phineus and Ferb are gone too. We loved those character interactions. However, I have heard lots of good things about the Star Wars fireworks. We hope to see Character Palooza at DHS thus time around also.

You have a Star Wars fan, Disney Junior fans, a boy who is a daredevil and tall enough for Tower of Terror (if 48" tall, he is also tall enough for Rock n Roller Coaster). They should all enjoy Toy Story Mania, Fantasmic, and the Indiana Jones stunt show.

I'd say Hollywood Studios is the best choice for your group. For the Star Wars fan, you have Star Tours, the Launch Bay, fireworks, and Path of the Jedi.

Add in Muppets, Great Movie Ride, and character meets, and I'd say you have plenty to do.
