Permission Requested to Whine About My Morning

First off, I went to the hospital for my monthly lab work (I'm on Coumadin for 2 more months - one year total - so have to have it checked once a month) and they could NOT get any blood out of me! Two different people tried (the guy "blew" two of my veins, the girl was a little more gentle) and they didn't succeed. So! I have to go back tomorrow morning. The girl who always gets it on the first try will be there so that is SOME consolation, but my arms are sore!!

Second, I called a prescription in yesterday to be refilled, picked it up this morning and thankfully I checked it when I got to my car, as my name was on the outside of the bag, but it was SOMEONE ELSE'S PRESCRIPTION INSIDE!!! So, I had to go back into the store and get it fixed. I'm just glad I checked before I drove all the way home! They were very apologetic, and said it rarely happens, and I said I knew that as I've had prescriptions filled for several years there and it's never happened before.

Lastly, I had to go to the secretary of state's office to get my driver's license renewed. I took a number from the thingie, got #65...#44 was being served at that point so I had 21 people ahead of me...sigh...45 minutes later my number is finally called.

Then, on my way home, I get stuck behind two people (at different times) going way, way, way below the speed limit and of course with oncoming traffic I couldn't pass....ho hum....

I was glad to get home!!

So, what kind of a morning did YOU have today??!!

My morning was hectic too, as the little one is burning up with a fever that I can't get to go down. She is so unhappy and is litterally burning to the touch. Her older brother is sick too, just not as bad. BUT, he is supposed to join the oldest at my in-laws tomorrow, just don't know if I should send him. I know that a cold type virus is going around so I am not too concerned about that. However I am concerned over the amount of smoke he will be exposed to and what might happen due to that!

Belle started coming down with something last night, by bedtime she was wreck, she was crying and just whiney. We got her into bed only to have her come out half an hour later, but I was feeding Amelie so I couldn't hold Belle which pissed her off to no end. She just didn't get why daddy couldn't feed Amelie, so she stood there screaming and shaking. I tried to take her temp but you'd think I was using a dagger the way she was carrying on. Got her back to bed, she was up three more times, all of which happened while I was feeding Amelie. DH got up with her at 6 this morning, her throat hurts, she's hacking like a seal, her nose is runny and she's generally not happy! We're leaving for the doctor in a bit.

DH went back to bed at nine, it's noon and he's still there, he's taking a mental day from work.

Well when those kind of mornings hapen, think of the carousel of progress, remember, theres a great big beautiful tommorrow shining at the end of every day!! My dh had the day off which rarely happens so he actually did some running around today. He took ds 16 to open his own bank account as the got his summer job to pay for the car insurance and then he took ds to get his drivers permit, oh gee, my baby is growing up. I still had the other 2 ds with me. Had to run to school to drop off the old uniforms, then on a little shopping trip to look for vbs decorations because I have to help decorate thurs. We are going to Olive Garden tonight to celebrate for ds16. He didnt even study for the test and only got 3 wrong. Also did too much paperwork for the bank, school and ds16 who's whos in americas h.s.

Well, you have my permission to whine all you want. I hate having blood taken. It might have something to do with the fact that I pass out just about everytime. You should try that though, it's amazing how fast and good the service is after that .

Sliced the pad off of my index finger last night and waited hours in the emergency room this morning only to be told I was too late for stitches.

Go home, take a pain killer and get woken up by DS screaming Fire! (DH was home too) The center of my development - which is a preserve - is on fire. 50 foot flames evacuating all the neighbors (not us) luckily. All the critters that live in the preserve have evacuated to our yard!

I leave for a third world country (Ecuador) for vacation tomorrow night with a large wound. ugh!
