i had my manicure done there the day before my wedding and had a bad experience, though lurkyloo went there 2 weeks after me and had a great experience with xochitil. i forget the name of the lady who did mine...my manicure peeled off in whole "sheets" and was completely gone the day after my wedding. WEIRD.
I just cannot grow my nails at all but obviously want pretty hands for the wedding photos.
I could get them done at home, but I worry I'll end up breaking one (or more!) when we're lugging suitcases around airports etc!
Then on the other hand, I don't want to "waste" time sitting in a nail parlour when I could be having fun in the rest of the World - I'm not really a girly girl, so this wouldn't seem like time well spent to me but needs must.....
I actually had a manicure done there on my wedding day. I originally had a manicure done the Tuesday before the wedding at another place off property and it was peeling by Wednesday!! So luckily we were staying at the Beach Club so I was able to walk over to Periwigs on the wedding day. The girl did a good job. They looked very natural and it lasted way longer than the first manicure.
What are the normal full set of acrylics as opposed to the pink and white set?
Which ones look better, any ideas - I am a novice at pretty nails?!!
Do you know how far in advance appointments can be made?
And how long are we talking for getting nails done? A couple of hours? I dunno how I'm gonna be able to sit there knowing I could be just down the way at MGM on the TOT or something - I'll just be far too excited!
Normal acrylics are a clear (sometimes tinted a little pink) acrylic that goes over your entire nail (including any tips they've added on). Pink & Whites are pink on your nail bed, and white acrylic on the tips. It's a permanent French Manicure. They're my faves!!
It'll probably take about an hour for a full set. A little less if you're not doing the Pink & Whites.
