Can people tell me their experiences with this with a pre-school aged girl? I was not going to do this because $200 is a LOT to shell out but I am thinking my DD would probably LOVE it. How long is the party? What happens? What is the doll that you get like?

Thanks

We did this event last summer for my dd's 5 birthday and we all just loved it. It is expensive, but the experience was truly magical for us. Everything was done so well and it was just a really fun and once in a lifetime type of thing. Each little girl is made to feel so special and cherished and there is one on one time with Aurora and Rose Petal was just awesome in her story telling, singing, and dancing with the girls. The food was fine, the gifts for the girls nice (doll, tiara, jewelry, etc), the setting perfect, and overall just a superbly put together party for a princess loving girl. I think the event is less fast paced then many Disney events, so it is well suited to the early school age child and kids who are comfortable sitting still and somewhat quiet for longer periods. I personally would not take a 3 year old if I could wait a year or two to attend instead, but that is just my opinion. The whole party is about 2 hours in length. I have never read a bad review about this event, and I think the only real criticism is the cost.

my daughter was almost 5 when I took her (one of the few dads there that day). I thought the doll was quite nice (similar to an American Girl doll I thought). My daughter enjoyed it though perhaps not as much as I thought she would - it took her a while to "warm up" as she is a bit shy and we were sitting very close with other people so that made her a bit nervous to begin with - though by the end of the event, she and the little girl next to her were having a good time and making faces for the camera. I didn't think it overpriced for what we received - especially the one on one with characters.

My daughter and I went in November. She had just turned 9 so it was a late b-day present. I was very sick about giving up 200.00 of my hard earned money. but it was a once in a lifetime disney moment and she would not be interested in it on our next trip.

It turned out to be worth every dime. She loved it and the videos and pictures are priceless. The only thing we HATED the food it was terrible the only thing good was the cake. My daughter received a special ariel doll, a crown, a charm bracelet, a scrapebook page and a special rose. The doll you cant find anywhere but the costume can be purchased at the gift store next to the event. If you have the money go for it all the girls were dressed up like Aurora and they had a mini parade and dance. princess:

Where is the tea party held, and where can I make reservations? This is the first I've heard of it and I think my DD (8) would love it. But she hates tea...do they offer the girls something else to drink? Do the parents participate too?

Thanks!

Thanks for all your responses.

shyjade - Go to waltdisneyworld.com and type "Perfectly Princess Tea Party" in the search box. That should give you the info.

I am leaning towards doing this. I just think that it would make dds year. She will be 4.5 when we go so I think she will be mature enough to sit through it. I have some Disney Visa rewards saved up and so I might use it for this.
