My dh bought my dd 8 and myself each a disney book. He got her Birnbaum's Walt Disney World For Kids by Kids the Official Guide and me Birnbaum's Walt Disney World The Official Guide. We have both been reading our books all day. My dd especially enjoys her book. She has begun planning our schedules and created Mickey ears for us all.

I agree with you about the Birnbaums book for kids. My kids all love it. It is worth the price.

A couple of quick questions about the kids book.
What is the price?
What age category is it suited to? (We have kids who will be 6, 9 and 12 when we go this summer.)

The cost of the book was 12.95. My dd is 8 and she loves it. I would say both the 9 and 12 would be able to use and enjoy the book. The official ages recommended on the book are 7-14.

My 5 year old (who cannot read) really enjoys the Birnbaum book for kids. The pictures are great and she will often ask us to read about different rides.

For younger kids, we have the Disney Bear Little Golden Book. It is a storybook where Mickey goes on all of the rides with his Teddy Bear. It is a good review of the different "lands" and some of the major rides. This would be good for the preschool set....my 2 year old loves it and so does my 5 year old.

I was just in B&N today with my ds-9. We have been to Disney many times and going again December 2 with my dh, ds, dd-13 and her friend who is also 13 and has never been (her dad doesn't like amusement parks :confused3 :lmao: )
Anyway, I have been putting things together to give her in a basket for her birthday (from my dh and me) which is in November.
I had this book in my hand and thought it was too young for a 13 year old girl and ended up purchasing the Birnbaums Official Guide book for her (I believe the one that you currently have).
My ds didn't want the For Kids by Kids book :confused3 although we do have them from every year we go, the last being 2006. Anyway, enjoy your books!
I usually get my dd-13 the Passporter book (I get one for me also) and we sit and fill in the information together, something she still doesn't cringe while doing with her mom

I may get my ds 2 the Mickey book. He has been toting the other two around and wants us to read them to him. He can't wait to go see Mickey at "Florida's House." He asks everyday to go. He just doesn't understand that we can't just drive there.

Our two year old DS loves looking at books, and I was just wondering if there were any good books introducing toddlers to Disney. This is a great thread!

Are there any other suggestions for great ways to introduce toddlers to WDW?

Can I get this as Borders?:confused3 I think DS would like this book...

My kids have been to Disney three times, and we have three raggedy versions of this book. They love it, love it! My son likes to plan our days with it. The versions don't change that much, but he reads it so much, I have always gotten a new one. I am hoping the 2008 is out before our October trip so it is a little more recent. I think Birnbaum's new editions come out in October so we'll see.

I think it is good for younger kids also. It has a lot of pictures, and my kids love to hear me read it. Last trip my DD 4 learned what the symbols meant.

We always do the scrapbook part on our first day home. Some of them are funny to read now. (Like my DD saying she wants to be Ariel when she grows up!)

Where can I find the Disney Bear Little Golden Book? I've tried amazon, half.com and bn.com with no luck. I have a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old and would love this for them as we prepare for our first trip.

Any suggestions or possibly a direct link?

Thank you!!!
