I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the person who recommended the Perfect Layers (scrapbooking) system from QVC!! I received it on Friday (ordered it in May!), and just tried it tonight!! How did I EVER scrap without it?!? Thank you again!!

I think I have heard of it before but what exactly is it? You sound so excited about it so it must be great.

I received an email stating that mine was shipped too - Haven't received it yet - Hopefully today -

Is it pretty easy to figure out how to use it?

Karen

OK - yeah, another thread on this. Every since y'all mentioned this, I look for a scrapping show every time I click past QVC. I never see one. When does it come on, do you have to order it when they show it, do you order it from the website, or is it completely stupid to order it since its on such backorder?

I ordered mine from the web-site - They didn't have any in at the time, so they put me on a waiting list - Once they got it in, they let me know and shipped it to me - Very Easy -

You don't have to wait for the "show" to come on to place your order. Go on the QVC Website and searched for "Perfect Layers". You can place your order and probably be put on the waitlist. It took a while (about two months) for me to get off the wait list and receive it, but the wait was worth it. It comes with instructions, VERY EASY!! :hyper:

I'm so glad you like it. I love mine. And castlegazer I would go ahead and order it. Also, its very easy to use. My teenage daughter recently used it on one of her pages with no problem. One of my better investments.

Thanks guys. Its sounds like a good investment. I will go check it out. You all keep saying how much you love it. I have a lot of trouble with square matting - comes from getting your start with CM stuff - if its not a circle I can't do it.

I am still really curious about this. I went to QVC and checking to see if this is what you are talking about. It said it is a 2 pc. set for borders and trims, is this it?

I am another fan. I have had mine for awhile and wonder how I lived without it.

Okay you guys I am ashamed to say this..............I have had mine laying on my craft desk for 2 months because I can't figure out to use it. I am left handed, craft ignorant and can't figure it out HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very easy to use:
1. Adhere your picture to paper of your choice. Which will be your mat.
2. Figure out which size mat you want. Each ruler has 4 sizes.
3. Line the ruler up against your picture. It should catch on the lip of the ruler.
4. Hold ruler down with pressure (don't want it to move) and use your exacto knife to cut down the side.

Hope that made sense. Maybe someone else can explain better.

Not happy today with mine though. I guress I've had it for over a year and use it ALL the time. My 3/16 kinda chipped away from use and now there is a spot on it which cuts crooked. Wonder what kind of guaranty it has?

I like to double and triple mat a lot. How would you use this product to do that?

I slipped with mine the other day, put a BIG scratch on it!! I did cut away some of the plastic, too!!?? I am using another knife, It seems to be working better. I think cutting the plastic so many times dulled the blade and it didn't come with any refills!! Guess I've got to make a trip to the craft store!!!

To make double and triple mats just continue doing the same thing as you did with the first mat. Make sense? And with the perfect layers, you can make each one of them identical in size which I really like.
