I know the Pepper Market is run a little different then other food courts. Can I have some opinions and insight on how it works. If I am on the dining plan do I have to leave a tip out of pocket each time I eat at the food court?

Dh and I stayed at the CSR for one night last month and had breakfast at the PM the next day. It was awesome! Click on my Aug link for a ton of pics and review.

You are seated like a regular TS place. You are given paper cards to present to the different food stands and they stamp the card with whatever you order. Your server will bring you drinks, 10% tip is included.

Here's our experince from Dec 07. We went for breakfast twice. The hostess will seat you and give you a slip of paper. You take that paper to the food stations and request what you want. The server will stamp your paper with whichever stamp indicates your choice. Make sure you ask her how this works, since it may be different from our experiences.

If you are getting something cold, like cereal, pick that up first, then if you are adding something hot like pancakes and bacon go to that station next. You will wait a bit for the hot things it seems. But then you go back straight to your table when its been put on your tray.

Both times we had breakfast the waiter never came to the table to ask what our beverages would be. I ended up going to the beverage station for coffee/tea and carrying it back to the table. It was my understanding the waiters would bring the beverages. Our tip was included in the 07 DDP, otherwise it would have been 5% for clearing the dishes after we left.

Thanks for the link with the awesome pictures. Very nice!! Does anyone who traveled in 2008 know if you leave a 10% tip out of pocket?

Hi!
The one time I stayed at this resort I was really impressed with the food selections at the Pepper Market.

However, my hubby and I did not want to actually sit down and eat. We wanted to get our items and hit the road to the parks or back to the room so the Disney hostess said "sure". She gave us the card, we walked around, got the food we wanted, went right to the checkout register, and they did not charge us the tip fee since she knew we were not sitting down. It worked out great.

If you are on the 2008 DDP, you don't need to tip out of pocket at the Pepper Market. Only those paying with cash or credit card need to pay the mandatory 10% tip.

We always make PM one of our must stops for any meal.

The atmosphere is terrific and the service is pretty quick by Disney standards. The food choices are pretty unique for a food court and the quality is very good.

I Love this place, different variety of Food, and the Food is Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whe you arrive you will be given a ticket like in the picture to the left of the plate, you will be seated like you would be at a TS resturant, a server will come over and take your drink order and explain how the PM works. You then go up to the food stations and order your food and they will stamp your card. I got the Rib eye steak which was great, with rice and veggies, i could have gotten potatoes, mashed or baked and other choices for sides. My DW got somthing asian, a beef stir fry with rice. When you are finished you leave your plates and garbage at the table and procede to the cashier with your ticket. If you have the dining plan you will not be charged the gratutity. If you did not have the DP and did not want to pay the gratutity just tell them when they give you your ticket and they can stamp it "to-go" and you can eat at the tables out-side by the water, which I recomend, we didnt do this untill our final day for breakfast and it was so beautiful and relaxing (last pic my DW and DD after breakfast).

We stayed at Coronado & we did not like the way Pepper Mart is run. We went to other hotels for a CS breakfast. It just wasn't for us.

4 adults -- we ate at PM last Saturday night. And then Sunday evening dined at Maya Grill.
(And we were not even staying at CSR!)

:dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

This is great news! I am dreading figuring out the tips for our family reunion trip. We have 8 families going and figuring out who owes who for the TS meal tips is going to be a royal pain!
