We fell in love with CSR for our family - the Dig Site fits our teenagers.

We looked at the Paper Market menu and the items sound good to us.
We will be on DDP - so I do not think we will be charged the 10% gratuity.

It will be Easter weeks when we go.

Crowds at the PM ?
Food freshness at the PM ?

How is the Cafe Rix gelato ? What flavors of gelato do they normally have ? Our DD loves gelato. Does it qualify for the snack credit ?

Thanks for all your hints and opinions ;)

I can't answer you about Cafe Rix as I didn't go there when we stayed there. However, the Pepper Market is very good, if you're on the DDP. The food is very good and fresh. Everytime we've been, we've been allowed to get a smoothie for our beverage. In fact, on days we are at Disney Studios or Animal Kingdom, we will sometimes catch a bus over there just to eat lunch, as we don't particularly care for the CS options in those two parks.

Now, we did not like the resort when we stayed there for several reasons, but did love the Pepper Market.

We have done breakfast and dinner there and loved both meals! Would go back for sure even if we are not staying at the CSR

It has good food we just don't like the way the operated it. It's not owned by Disney. But we still would go back to eat. My DS loves there food.

I have always enjoyed the Pepper Market. Some people hate it. You just have to learn the system.

Not a big fan, but if you go on the off times the food is not so fresh. Go at peak meal times and the waits are long, but the food is fresh and has been tasty. I will not go out of my way to eat here even on the DDP, but that is just based on my experiences--I have rarely found it to be tasty food. I'd rather have good, tasty food than have the illusion that I maxed out some imaginary value of a DDP credit.

It is a love it or hate it type of place. The set up does not bother us...but we've stayed seven times and we are used to it. As for the 10% being included in the dining plan--some people say it is, some say it is not. We did not pay it when we were there in September but someone else said they were there and they did. The best way to avoid this is to ask for a to go ticket and eat outside. We prefer doing this anyway because the view is spectacular and we like to enjoy the Florida weather. We have never had a really bad meal...some have been better than others, but nothing was ever awful.

The new take out items at the Cafe Rix are great. And their bakery section, like the Pepper Market's--let me just say :worship:

Love, Love, LOVE CSR!!!! In my opinion, the Pepper Market may be the best value for a CS credit on the DDP. At dinner, you can actually get a steak for a CS credit! Also, the portions are large enough that you can actually share. Our family of four can use 2 credits for breakfast and have plenty enough to eat for all of us. :thumbsup2

We're staying there in June. Can someone explain this weird system everyone is talking about? How is it different from other food courts? (beside the fact that its not disney owned)

From what I understand, you're seated at a table, and given a ticket. You go to stations to order your food, they stamp the ticket, and you pay on the way out, which is where they add the 10%.

 add 10% just for stamping a ticket?? thats just mean

the servers do it for you.

:rotfl2:

Really? I thought they just stood there talking to each other after showing me the ONLY clean table in the joint. :rotfl2:

If you don't have to pay the service charge on the DDP then it's probably not a bad deal.

I refuse to pay it after a couple of instances of NO SERVICE but a 10% charge for the "joy" of being allowed in thier space to eat.

Foods not bad, I just get it to go!

(Note: I eat at off times so they weren't busy, just uninterested!)

We love CSR but do not care for Pepper Market. It's not the system, we just hated the food. I've had much better food at mall food courts. Now if we know we're eatting lunch at CSR we'll take the time to drop by Epcot for some sandwhiches from Sunshine Seasons to take back with us...

I am not a fan of Pepper Market either, but I DO LOVE RIX Lounge!:cool1:
