Pepper Market at Coronado

We visited Coronado Springs one day just to see the resort. While there we decided to eat lunch at the Pepper Market. I thought it was rather interesting how they had it laid out and everyone had something they enjoyed. It's better than other food courts I have been too at WDW. Overall, we were pleased and I would go back.

Pepper Market is a favorite of ours.
We make a trip to Coranado Springs every trip just to eat at Pepper Market.
We love the variety and have always had great food. Hubby is a fan of the burritos.

If you have never seen the resort and the variety of food looks good I would wander over and check it out.

This is the controversial food court. :) I like it here though the stir fry has been rather bland. The wet Burittos were great. There is allot of different stuff to choose from and most of it has been really good. I took a friend over last time I was at WDW just to show him the resort and have lunch at Pepper Market.

We have eaten here twice, and while the selection of foods is really good, we felt that it was pretty expensive.

I don't like the idea that they add a 10% gratuity just to show you to your table and get your drink. In a food court I expect to do that myself and not pay anyone to do it for me.

so you don't have to pay it, if that really is a concern. I wish that they had more choices for kids. After our 2nd mela there our DD age 10 wanted to try out the adult menu. She loved her prime rib with bake potaotes , grilled vegtables and cheesecake. The total was over 25.00 but we used the voucher and it was only $11.00 and it covered the tax and gratuity.

While we have never stayed at CSR, we always do at least one meal there, usually breakfast, so I can get eggs to order with out doing a full buffet. While some complain about the 10% gratuity included, we find it worthwhile. They don't only seat you and bring your drink, they afford me the opportunity to eat at a clean table with real silverware, something we don't usually find at other moderates as there are many Disney guests who leave the place messy and sticky. WE also think CSR has a great gift shop compared to the other moderates and some of the premium hotels. Try it and form your own opinion.

pepper market is a little bit different set up than the other food courts at disney. Yes, it is a little more expensive as compared to the other foodcourts, but, as the other posters have stated, this is one place where the connections meal vouchers can be a really good deal. the portions are huge and can easily be divided among members of your group..

I've stayed there on two trips and would never eat at the Pepper Market again. The food was fine and I didn't even get upset about the 10%. My problem was what I call check pumping.

As I walked around and selected items I got my check stamped. On a number of occasions I noticed that my check was being double stamped or stamped with the next higher letter.

When I complained about what was going on I was told that the clerk didn't speak english. After getting a manager it took almost 5 minutes to straighten out the mess.

On my first stay at the Coranado this happened on three days of the trip. On the second trip it happened a few times (I don't remember the exact number). After I returned home from my trip I called Guest Services and was told that this is a common complaint but that Disney couldn't do much about it because Disney doesn't own the Coranado.

If I was staying at a moderate I'd rather spend my money at Riverside. I've been to the parks 12 times and the Coranado was the only time I've ever felt cheated. Buyer beware!

Is it worth visiting to eat there?
Depends on what transportation you use. If you are using WDW bus service from a different resort/park to CSR, and back to a different resort afterwards, then No. (But suppose from a park back to another park wouldn't be bad.)
If you have a car, or want to take a taxi. Yes.
Or if you just have a lot of time to kill and don't mind spending a lot of time to take indirect route bus transportation, then Yes again.
We liked the PM food court. But we haven't eaten there since our CSR stay two years ago.

After reading the above post, we didn't have this problem (with overchargng). However, it was the PM that caused the big (and only) hassle for us during our CSR stay, that I too had a heck of a time straightening out.
The cashiers at PM used my flex feratures (and one of my traveling friends features) on separate occasions, without asking or telling us.
When we went to use our flex features in the gift shop we couldn't. Two hours and several phone calls later we had to wait until the next day to pick up the REAL chosen flex feature gifts.
One flex feture they chose to use was against a $6 breakfast. :p For the trouble they caused and the time they wasted they shouldn't have charged us for those meals -- in MHO -- but did.
