Peoplemove is back in 2012.... Woo Hoo...

IF

IF DCA id completed on time and does not bancrupt DLR.
If they do decide to retheme Toomorowland
If they do get around to tearing down the Rockets ride and shop area then can they even get a disabled friendly ride there plus what to do with the line.
If they can get around the laws and safety issues of a new peoplemover.

I am not counting this as likely but just a dream and based on Calfornia earthquakes we might have slid to the sea by that time.:lmao:
I wish also that Tomrrowland was updated and unified in theme and them shows replaced but it is wishing.

haha, i hinted this in another post. :) Then told me i was a tease :( . Yes, one of my friend has confirmed of seeing blueprints of it. :)

budget for it has not passed or being made though. :( but it is a working plan.

Funny stuff. Just this past week I heard more than 2 different people ask "what are those tracks up there??".

Hey at least it has that going for it...

A lot of if's but it would be awesome to have those tracks used again!!! :)

I so wish they would bring back the Peoplemover! I loved riding it as a kid and would love to ride it again now with my kiddos. Disney is about magic and I'm hoping this comes to be. I think I have a little Pixie Dust to spare and on my upcoming trip will sprinkle it on the tracks in hopes of this becoming real!

We were told of these plans at the VIP tour back in '08. I'm looking forward to the realization of bringing the PM back to Tomorrowland.

I thought they were gonna use the tracks for a FastTrack type attraction at DL.

When I saw the title: "PMover coming back". I did not believe it. There's only 1 reason not to: Same reason I said(and alot of others) on the forum for bringing it back.... because it doesn't make promotional or logical sense. They got rid of it for a reason. And I was right... the title wasn't 100% accurate.

But I hope they do something with the track, and not - heaven forbid - tear the track down. But even if its like the PMover, I'll still ride it every once in a while like I used to.

But I'm all for changing the color of TL, and moving Astro Orbiter back(even though I don't ride it).

I believe I remember right. Didn't they get rid of it becuase a few kids died on it? I think I remeber reading that teenagers liked to hop back and forth and one or two slipped a few times.
As for the Fast Track ride, it's going to be in Carsland at DCA

They tried making something go fast on those tracks with the rocket rods and it really didn't work.

TL is in depserate need of a big make over. I hope they really are able to do some big changes there eventually.

I will omit the gory parts and if you want details then google will find the answers you are looking for.

In August 1967, 17-year-old Ricky Lee Yama of Hawthorne, California, was killed while jumping between two moving PeopleMover cars as the ride was passing through a tunnel.

On June 7, 1980, 18-year-old Gerardo Gonzales of San Diego, California was jumping between cars as the ride entered the SuperSpeed tunnel

Those deaths were guests getting out of the ride vehicles and had nothing to do with ride safety. The mule ride was closed due to ride safety issues on the other hand. (July 2, 1967–August 21, 1995) was when the DLR Peoplemover was in operation which was 15 years after anyone had died on the ride.

I will remain a doubter on anything being done with the tracks but will hope something goes in there. The parks are about all the guests so it would be nice to have something fun there that would be a gentle family friendly ride that everyone could enjoy.
