there is this group that my friend went with. not sure what it is but i think it is like a service group. it is called people to people. is anyone on the teenboard in it? any of your friends...im bored:rolleyes2

A lot of us at school got those letters but nobody went because it was so expensive.
My friend said it was junk mail.

My best friend does it sometimes. He's going to Australia, I believe.

One of my friends went to Australia with them.

I was invited, several years in a row, but didn't go because it was so expensive.

Yeah People to People is an awesome organization for teens that are on the Honor Roll, in my town its two people from every grade that get a letter offering them to go to places all around the world like i got offered to go to Japan, my sister got offered to go to the UK and my sisters friends went to Australia twice. Its educational and you go with you county/district kids from 8th to 12th grade

I wanted to go but my mom thought i was to young to go to Japan, so im going there to visit my uncle for my 16th birthday

I'm not, but I have two friends who used to be. One went to Australia, and the other went to Australia & China.

All it is is an over-charged travel company. Did none of you hear of the teen who DIED when his "chaperone" refused him medical care?

No, but I have attended the meeting and all they wanted was money. I have several friends who've went on the trips and also said it was over-priced.

Anyways, have you ever noticed how the letter states an enterance to be "coveted" yet every student who's made the honor roll get a letter?
It has also been proven that Dwight D. Eisenhower had NOTHING to do with the formation of the group.

I participated in People to People Sports Ambassadors when i was going into my freshmen year of high school it was 10 days long. It was one of the best experiences that i have had in my entire life so far. it was expensive it was 5000 plus spending money but it was totally worth it. I went to the Netherlands and played soccer for it. They People To People Board members had already randomly selected who was on your team for you and who our coach was. The first thing we did at the hotel was get assigned a room and went to it and your roomate was either coming or already there. I live in Pennsylvania and my roomates from California, we keep in contact all the time. We tell each other everything! The hotel was so nice and they had great food. We would practice for the upcoming tournament either in the begininng of the day and then do an activity that showed you what the netherlands were like or it would be the other day around. For example, the first day we went on a bike ride throughout holland and then we went to this wooden shoe and cheese factory and saw how they were made, it was actually really interesting. we also went into amsterdam a couple of day and shopped or just walked around it was pretty fun. we went on a canal boat ride and we went to see anne franks house and the museum (sp) when the tournament came we had like 3 games a day at the least it was really fun and realy intense we played other teams from the United States as well as teams from tawian sweeden and others. we had the best food called toasties! my whole team had a great time we came in first place in our age group which was so sweet because we just met 10 days before and we were already playing like a team. every team had a personal trainer that was from a pro soccer team in the europe. if you wanna know anymore just ask me!?

i highly advise anyone thinking about doing it; to do it. youll never get a chance to do anything else like this in your life. its well worth it

I know people who did that

but I havn't heard anything in a few years

I've always gotten one. And it is way overpriced.

I have been invited to that before. But like everyone else is saying..A LOT of money. My cousin Austin in Texas ig going this year. I forget where he is going to.
