I'm not going on the cruise either. But you can easily make friends on the cruise. For one you sit with a family or two every night on the cruise and chances are there will be kids in the family. and there is a teen club on both cruises where you can go and meet kids your age and do a bunch of activities with them. I made some friends on the last cruise I went on. just be outgoing and have fun!
