You can join AARP.

AARP now has discounts on Disney hotels.

well definitely BWI - $294 for Nov

Oh great, thanks for reminding me I'm only 2 3/4 years away from being a Senior Citizen...now, should I be happy or sad? :rotfl2:

I found it but never got that far am going to call DW anyway and will ask.

What dates in November?

If November 27+, the rack rate is $294.....

I'm checking Pop for early December, seeing $77 per night, which is rack rate...
Same for AKL Savannah view too.....

Just checked more for January, looks like rack rates to me.

I'd be interested to hear what you find out.

Michael

Thanks for the information but it looks like AAA is still a better discount at least for the Grand FL. The AARP 3 night rate in mid March 2006 is 1667.55 including tax for 3 Adults GV room. I got a AAA rate of 1513.00 for the same dates through CRO.

This is awesome news - my husband has been flirting with the idea of joining but Marriott doesn't take AARP and aside from Disney that is where we stay - so I am definitely checking this out!! THANKS

I have felt for years that Disney needs to have something for the fifty plus folks on their own. We have supported them our whole lives and now are taking Grandkids and footing the bill. They should not have to wait for AARP to step up to the plate. A discount in tickets would not break their bank either as we spend a fortune once there and are usually the ones to book the expensive meals that the kids could not afford. We buy the clothes, the movies, all the gifts....... Come on, Disney....Silver ears for Golden years should be on your drawing board....... Let's all write them with this idea......

Seaworld has discounts for seniors.

You would think WDW would too.

Sorry - I just checked with Disneyworld - these rates are rack rates.....

I should have checked before I posted...

That's amazing. No discount for seniors. Hershey Park offers greatly discounted park passes for those over 55.

Lou-Ann, I'm with you! I've taken 7 people to Disney (son&family) every time we've went (5) and paid for everything. I won't be able to continue this if I don't start getting some good deals. Out of 5 times, I've had no codes ect. This year is our first time at disneyworld for 3 years and it may be our last for 5 more if we can't get a break! Kids are all older and it takes more rooms and food!!

:cheer2: Wouldn't that be just great. Sooner or later we
will have to stop going because of prices. Although it won't
be this month as we will be in Disney on the 1st of Nov.

I really do wonder why Disney doesn't give discounts to all
of us 30+++++. :confused3
