Iam planning a WDW trip in October 2004. I am a person of size (5ft10in and 346 lbs). My big fear is going to WDW and start to get on a ride with my family (boy 1st grade/ girl infant and wife) and not be able to fit. Any thing out there that can help?

First thing first, Disney is VERY accomodating to those that are POOH SIZED as it is politely said. :p DH and I were both on the heavy side last time we went to Disney, he was 270 and I was 240. We had some tight fits on some rides, but never felt uncomfortable. :teeth: I know it's not even close to the size you are, but I've read from those that are your size they did just fine on most Disney rides.

Please visit DEB'S SITE ABOUT WDW @ LARGE to hear more about what you want to know.

You are going to be just fine..don't you worry about it.

I do hope I've helped and that you have a great trip.

Blessings,

Denise  :sunny:

Denise beat me to it. The at large site is excellent and gives some reassurance of what to expect so that there are no embarassing suprises.

My friend who is 300lb+ and I have been able to experience most of the rides together without too many problems.

Enjoy your trip.

I am a person of size so I speak from experience, Walt Disney World is very size friendly. I can ride ToT, Splash Mountain, RnR Coaster and anything else I really want to. My only problems are with the turnstiles in the Magic Kingdom, especially at the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. At Pirates I simply let myself in at the chains but at HM you have to ask to go in the exit which is also their disabled entrance. The CM's are very friendly and understanding though. Don't worry, you will have a wonderful time!!!

IM 61 330 AND THE ONLY THING I WASN'T ABLE TO DO WAS THE ROLLERCOASTER SIMULATOR AT DISNEY QUEST. NO PROBLEM AT ANY PARK RIDE.

I would be aware of Thunder Mountain Railroad. My DH is "pooh" size. The lap bar came down and stopped at his belly. I still had room to be flailed about against the bar. Fortunately, I am not petite so I did not get bruised or fall out, but he will not ride this with a small child.
