People need to stop complaining!

I stopped reading the thread after this.

Someone please spoil me: did every single DVC member stop complaining afterward?

No, we kept complaining on Social Media, in emails, in phone calls ... and Disney changed their stated direction so that contracts in process were 'grandfathered' to pre-4/4 status. Whether Disney's change of heart was influenced by Member pressure or wise words from their Lawyers we will never know ... but we did maintain a reasonable level of pressure until things changed.

I unfortunately got f**** ! Sorry for the non Disney friendly language. I had sent all docs. in by 3/24/16 but the sellers didn't sign. I did not find this out until 4/7! So I sent an email to my realtor and she said oh they didn't have access or a computer and they are away on vacation. All forms were to be signed by 3/31/16. Had they been sign and sent to a Disney, they would have been there by the 4th. So I lost the chance of being grandfathered. I did renegotiate but i still feel slighted and angry i know it is just a timeshare but still...

There was a dude in this same situation on another thread and after contacting Disney to explain the situation, he was grandfathered. I think it was in the "Anyone Backing Out" thread.

Disney has mastered the money shell game and no one will ever know where 100% of their yearly annual dues go.

It is audited. They would not get away with anything illegal for very long.

And completely agree with what Brian said: If you don't believe that Disney is at least trying to abide by applicable law, you have to re-think why you own with them

I never said Disney was not abiding by the law. Companies make mistakes and money can and does get misappropriated. I personally find it hard to believe not a single penny of the yearly annual dues ends up paying for some "perk". I'm not complaining it's just business. I love the "re-think why you own" quote. I just have to laugh at how people throw that phrase around. lol I agree if someone doesn't like the way Disney does business sell and move on.

Well said, I totally agree with you. You have opened a big can of worms from what I see, so good luck with that. There are Democrats and Republicans in this world, and I can definitely tell from some of these statements who is who...
