People come to your door to sell stuff.

We live in vacation condos', which means no selling items condo to condo. Some lady comes right up to our door and yells through it. She was kinda 'scoping' out the place. And said to talk to her friends when they came bye. Ofcourse we locked and closed the door.

Sales people can be a real pain, but I love when the girl scouts come.

Sales people.......I just say "No thanks", and close the door.

My big peeve is the people that come collecting for Greenpeace, etc.
One day when my DD was about 8, a girl came collecting for Greenpeace. She had all kinds of piercings, purple hair, heavy makup. I said I wasn't interested, and when I closed the door, DD and I both said together......."Boy, that was weird."

We had a lady the other day come up to us while we were out putting the finishing touches on our Christmas decorations. She started out by saying "You decorations are beautiful"...and then proceeded with her spiel. When I told her we weren't interested, she said "BUT I TOLD YOU YOUR DECORATIONS WERE BEAUTIFUL!" Like that was really going to make me buy whatever she was selling.

I hate the sweeper salespeople who bring you a free gift and practically throw it at you.....UGH, I feel for this a few years ago when they came to the door and promised to only take a few minutes of my time, I kid you not he was there for 4 hours!!!! I was sooo ticked, and to top it off he wanted to show how the attachments worked and ended up ripping one of the kids mattresses ( crib mattress with the plastic cover) ARGHH!!
So from now if if anyone knocks at our door and the dog doesnt scare them I scare them by telling them NO and shutting the door

Lol. Well..Usually its just religous people handing out flyers. I grab one and shut the door. But we had our screen closed, door open...lol

Ditto.. Plus are at the end of a cul de sac, and there is a long steep driveway to our house, and we RARELY have sales people stop by. I am very suspicious of the rare "sales person" stopping by--I figure they are casing the place!

It was tempting LOL. They got me as I getting out of the van.

My fav story is a friend that has a no soliciting sign on her door and has a grim pic on it (can't remember what now) something like no goods, religious or services soliciting THIS MEANS YOU.

A guy came to her door selling meat and commented on how cute the sign was, then started his sales pitch.

We've recently had some "salespeople" around several neighborhoods here. As soon as someone even cracked the door, they pushed their way in and robbed the place. Mostly elderly people, but someone came to my sister's door (she's 31). Her husband wasn't home but she has a HUGE Great Dane. As soon as that dog put his HUGE paws on the door, the guy took off. Too bad Caesar didn't get to have a "salesman appetizer!!!"
