Pentax K-7 memory card

I have a Pentax K-7 and feel after taking classes I still don't know enough about it!

The guys at Creve Coeur camera have been great, and recommended Delkin Device memory cards for my camera. (class 6, 22MB, 105x). I am getting memory card errors about every 6 to 8 pictures. They let me exchange on of my cards for a new one, but the new one is doing the same after about a month.

I am careful to always eject the card from the reader before removing, and I dump pictures from the card about every two weeks. They suggested reformatting the card in the camera too.

Any advice on a different card to try or what I might be doing wrong to continue getting errors?

I don't know too much about the Delkin cards, but I use either Sandisk or Kingston. I have had the Sandisk physically break ( I never lost any data, just the lock button broke) and they replaced them free of charge. After I transfer the images to my computer, I always reformat the cards. That removes most of the data and leaves you with as clean a card as possible.

Never had any problems with Sandisk, Kingston, or a few others in my K-7. Have not used Delkin (nor heard of them before this post). Upload pics, format card in camera. Never had an issue. (I had one small Kingston card die in my Nikon P&S and we lost those photos, but never a problem in the K-7.)

Is the K7 capabale of using that large of a card? You may have to update your firmware, or refer to your manual and see how large of a card you can use. Just a thought...
