Penny pressed locations

Been a while since our last trip. I seem to recall there used to be a list of all the penny press locations in the parks. Does anyone know if this list still exists? My girls have been saving their quarters and penny's!!

There are lots of 'em! This site came in handy when DH and I were tracking down the characters we wanted on the fly.

I am not sure if Press Coins is what I looked at for our March trip or not. The site I looked at was missing some, so we missed them too. This site looked up-to-date. They also have a free app. They are listed under Lake Buena Vista.

If you're flying, don't leave the quarters in the rolls.

Learned this the hard way. Bork, full body cavity searches all around Last trip, I just checked the rolls in our luggage, instead of carrying them on. I like to keep the quarters in the rolls, so that they are easier to manage.

My bag once got searched as well because of the rolls of coins. I now place the rolls in a ziplock bag and put them in the bin with my shoes etc. and I haven't had an issue since. Hope this helps!

This is exactly what they told me to do with my m&m mini containers alternatingly filled with 2 quarters and a penny. Said to take it out so they can see what it is easily when it goes through the scanner.

No, but still take them out of the rolls. If you don't they look like explosives in the x-ray and your bag will be opened and searched.

Thank you for this tip! It never would have occurred to me that the rolls would be a problem. I will make sure to have them ready in a ziplock to put in the bin.

Argh, ok, looks like my best bet will be to bring them in ziplocs and the kids can put them back in their M&M containers on the plane. It'll give them something to do other than having their noses glued to their electronics!

Are they eventually going with the digital penny press machines? I thought I heard there was one in HS and maybe one in AK. Wondering if they would slowly swap all of them out. Would be sad . . . I like the original old-fashioned hand crank machines and using my own shiny pennies.
