Pending Email; 11/30

Did anyone else get this? Or am I one of the only people pending at this point?

Here's what I got:

Dear Danica-

Recently, you received notification that your application for the Disney College Program at the
Walt Disney World® Resort was pending a final decision, and that you would be notified of your status by December 1, 2009.

Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we have received for our spring 2010 programs, we are still reviewing your application at this time. We expect to make final decisions on all applications by December 18, 2009 and will notify all candidates of their status by that date.

What's funny is that I got a letter telling me by January 1st, 2010, so this is even better! I'll know sooner!

Hopefully it's even before this, because I would like to be able to tell my school about it........


The first line I saw when I opened this was "Due to the overwhelming volume of applications we have received for our spring 2010 programs..." and I got sad, because that's what my rejection letter last year said... but then I kept reading.

Disney keeps stringing me along! Rawrrrrr.....

That is exactly my situation too! I got the letter and the email...I need to know before the 18th!!!!!!!

Guys just to let ya'll know, they are in the process of extending the current CPs/CSs and our deadline for extending is December 7th. So they are most likely trying to see who wants to stay/transfer and after that day will let everyone know who was accepted/rejected.

Aha.... thank you! I was surprised at how late they were keeping pending open, but that makes sense now.

I just talked with a few deans, and they said the 18th is fine... I could have let them know if I got in after I was already in Florida and they would have been okay with it. They're great.

Now I just have to sit around and wait... (and do my final papers!)

I haven't heard anything back either...I no longer have my hopes up

Who knows.... I mean, they did tell us the 18th, and things aren't usually earlier than they say...it all depends on how many people extended vs. how many people they thought would extend... how many people have changed their minds and bailed, etc.

Always keep your hope....
