Penalty for showing up with fewer people than reservation?

OK so in May I have finally managed to secure a Star Wars Breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine-In for our party of 5. The trouble is until we get there 2 of our party aren't sure they will want to go to the parks that day. There will def be 3 of us showing up. Will we be charged for 5 even if only 3 of us show up? I did look to see if I could get a reservation for 3 as well just in case and then could cancel one 24 hours before but there wasn't one available (and to be honest I would have felt bad having 2 reservations anyway). Anyone know what happens if you show up with less since the new credit card policy is in place? I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

There should not be a penalty as long as "someone" shows up for the reservation. On my trip last September, I had a reservation for 8, the whole family was supposed to show but it ended up being just 4 of us. They still made their money, we just got seated at a table for 4 and they reused the table for 8.

Hope this helps. Once you know for sure they are not going, the nice thing to do would be to call and let the dining line know so they can open it up for someone else. Unless it happens like it did to me and they just decided to go play 5 minute before dinner.
