PELLA sliding glass door with blinds between glass

Simonton has had the highest rating with JD Power for years, but I have never heard of them. I have heard of Pella, Anderson and Milgard myself.

Although if you Google Pella, there are a LOT of complaints and class action lawsuit in the courts over their windows rotting after only 10 years and them not honoring the warranty.

I am just starting to look at replacing my 2 sliding glass doors. I am leaning towards Milgard simply because I have experience with them and their warranty. I added on 20 years ago, and the inside of one of the windows was getting milky. I called Milgard, they came out, said it was covered by the lifetime warranty, measured and came back a week later to put in a replacement panel. Any company that has service like that is worthy of my consideration.

[molgard is not in my area - i wish Anderson had the blinds built in - they have a great warranty as well

Ok my husband went out looking - the 2 we r deciding between - eagle now owned by Anderson blinds inbetween - these r wood doors. Then pella vinyl think the 350 series below the top - same price range question is wood v vinyl any input?

We had a custom patio sliding glass door made last spring with internal blinds by Champion. I love it and use the blinds every day. It has a lifetime warranty.

We had to replace 2 Pella windows last year. The Large window in the living room and our doorwall. The warranty for Pella was awful and they just didnt want to help on the pricing at all. So we ended up going with Sunrise - they also have the blinds between the window. They matched the stain on the other windows perfectly - this was 6 months ago and so far very pleased. Even the outside perfectly matched.

I am getting in touch with a sunrise dealer. In ,y area. Do u know if the glass with blinds is e-low efficient. Pella told me that they r the only compsny with the energy efficient

Honestly I do not remember and I cant put my hand on the book right now. We are pleased and the difference in warranty - is what sold us - price helped a lot to! We have the pleated shade in the windows and the mini blind in the door wall so I can just adjust it depending on the sun.

On the Lowes website for doors with blinds between glass:
Jeld-Wen has low e and is Energy Star qualified.
Reliabuilt is Energy Star qualified.
ThermaStar by Pella and Benchmark are not energy star qualified.

I have French doors with an "inset" on either side. We looked into having them replaced a couple of years ago and I really wanted the blinds in between the glass. When we priced it out, it was $8000 but would cost more because the people who owned our house before us had these French doors custom made and there's nothing out there that will "fit" without customization.

Thanks again foe all the input. I research he's and googled etc. we are ordering a Sunrise sliding door with the blinds. They seem to be very reliable - lifetime warranty - it was hard to find a dealer in my area but I contacted sunrise directly - so again thanks to opening my eyes and thinking outside the box of the big names with money to advertise
