I know some people are annoyed with all the stroller questions, but I do not have a store close enough where you can try them out...I have been reading reviews online for 6 hours over the last 2 days and had a question.

Has anyone tried the peg aria OH (We are looking at the 2007)?

I like the big basket, child snack holder and parent cup holder that are not offered on the maclaren. I am also looking at a 2006 maclaren quest, but the basket is SO small and I keep coming back to the peg. I know maclarens are SO popular here, but I wanted to hear if anyone had tried this peg.

If the peg is not any good, I will probably get the maclaren, esp. if anyone can suggest a child tray to add on, and can say whether or not you can push with one hand.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of the peg- because to me one of the most important features is a one handed push which I personally don't feel I get with the Aria. True the basket is larger and it does have the tray table but depending on the age of the child that isn't all that important to me, as my kids get older (my youngest is 2.5) she won't even go near a stroller with a tray in front because it makes it a tighter squeeze.
Also- I don't think the Aria folds as well as the Mac's do.

I had an Aria (2004, I think) and now have a Mac (2005?)

Pushing the Aria one-handed is possible, but not easy - especially when turning. The handling got more difficult as DS got bigger. The seat was very roomy which was nice, and I liked that the tray was removable. I liked the Aria fold (I understand it's one-hand fold now, mine was two). When folded, it was very compact and could stand on its own.

Going one-handed on the Mac is very easy, even turning. I know it doesn't seem like it would be! But because of the angle of the handles I guess, it's not a problem. The basket is definitely smaller. I never needed a tray with it but I know people have posted aftermarket trays here before, so hopefully someone will share :)

Take a look at the Peg Pliko Lite too.

Thanks...

I have looked at the pliko lite...I have found positive reviews for the aria, but I've found negative ones as well...I keep reading more and more positive ones for the quest and I found one at a reasonable price. I WANT to like the peg (I like the look of it better, and the big basket) but so many things with strollers you can't tell from looking at pictures and when it comes to using them those are the important things.

I have no problem with the Aria, even with my 4yo in it (he currently has mono and gets wiped out easily, so he has a need right now). I have both the double (2007) (generally only for WDW now) and the single (2006). I can push the single one-handed easy; the double is more work one-handed, if both kids are in it.

I liked the higher weight limits of the Mac, but it turned out I wanted the bigger basket more--I'm a big shove-it-in-the-stroller person. I don't know if I would have liked the Mac better, but I certainly am not unhappy with the Peg. Not to mention I got a much better deal on the Peg than I could find on the Mac at the time.

We DO use the snack tray, much to my surprise. I originally like the idea that it was removable to get rid of it. At the zoo yesterday, the littler two (2yo & 4yo) each had popcorn in their tray snacking away while my oldest had the bag in his hands.

I have a 2001 Aria that has NO snack tray or cup holders. We love it!

We've used it for two different kids on three different WDW trips, two cruises and traveled to Nashville w/ it. It has held up great and still works really well.

In December it made it's third trip to WDW and when ds was sleeping in the carrier, dd (now 6.5yo) hopped in the stroller and napped too!

We've never had any issues w/ single handed steering and MUCH prefer a full across handle than two separate umbrella handles.

I wholeheartedly recommend it!

just an fyi- allbeebaby? I believe that's right- has the double for $169.99 and free shipping if u r interested.

I just bought the 2007 Aria for DS 18 mos. I love it! I bought it for our WDW trip because I wanted something a little smaller than my Graco Metrolite and I wanted something that folded easily. By the end of the trip, I'm sure my DH was sick of hearing me say how much I loved the stroller.

I had no problem steering it, even with one hand.

I really wanted a snack tray since DS is still at the stage where a few Cheerios on the tray will keep him busy for a while. I also loved having the snack tray at WDW because sometimes DS would just sit in the stroller for lunch at a CS place (we are a family of 5 and sometimes all we could find was a table for 4).

The one-handed fold feature is great. There's even a handle for carrying the folded stroller. That was great when using trams and buses.

The only downside is that you can't access the basket when the seat is reclined. I usually just hung the diaper bag over the handles instead of putting it in the basket, but I forgot a few times. I had to sit a very sleepy DS up so I could get to the basket. Luckily he was too tired to wake up so it turned out fine.

I have this one and HATE IT!!! It was awesome the first trip to Disney and since then it has been down hill. The first thing to go was being able to turn easily. You CAN'T get to be basket like th PP stated. Over time it has become a little wobbly--we have only had it 2 years. I so wished I would have gotten a mac. Also, over time it gets harder to open and close. I bought it beacuse of the weight, how it folded, carry handle, and that it was ORANGE.

The Peg Aria was the perfect stroller for Disney trips until DS started to weigh too much (34 or so lbs). To me it was the perfect solution...it is like a full feature stroller, only scaled down and very very lightweight. I lived with the steering and handling...it wasn't great, but I really did need that tray and cupholder and to me that was more important. We now have a Mac because DS's legs hang over the Aria and drag on the wheels. It has also just gotten too hard to steer. Perfect for the up to 3 crowd in my opinion!

Just a word of caution - the aria is not for tall people. I find i have to stoop to push it and it can get quite painful. My (short) Mum can push it no problem!!!

I have an older aria 2005 model and disliked it as the cupholder kept popping off and it was hard to steer. Also didn't like the harness system as it would also just come off the back seat and just hold from the waist so it really didn't seem like a true 5 point harness. Now I have the mac quest and really like that and also a mac twin and that seems ok but I have my eyes on a double jogger since the bob revolution I have is only a single...can you tell I am abit stroller mad?? Nevermind the fact I also had a sit and stand deluxe (which I like alot and have used alot at disney!) and quite a few others in the garage....

I had a 2004 Aria and hated it. it really is poorly made. (cup holder breaks, pieces fall off of it). Hard to fold sometimes. Maclaren works so much better for me.

THANK YOU---I thought I was the only one that hated it. I forgot all about the harness--it is a horrible.

I'm really not a fan of the Aria. Peg Perego makes some very nice strollers - the Aria isn't one of them. The push isn't one handed....or easy as the child gets heavier. It is also pretty flimsy and is known to have quality issues.
