I am looking a the Aria stroller by Peg Perego. Does anyone have any ideas about this stroller? I am looking for a new stroller for my 18 month old(24lbs) to bring to Disneyworld. It looks like a good one. Any thoughts or reviews would be appreciated.

I have a Peg TWIN Aria and really like it. It is lightweight and easy to open and close. Worth every penny, IMHO!

it depends how tall you and your dh are!
we have an aria an our ds 7mths loves it as he can sit up independantly even when he has the 5 point straps on, the handle is quite low and at 5' 6" i find myself hunching over the handlebars when i am pushing it along!!
That said we will be taking it in sept when we visit as it folds up so easily and is much lighter and easier to carry than our maclaren tecno that we also have.
good luck with your searching but i would advise practicing in the shop before purchasing!!!

We have it, too, and took it to wdw with our DD 10 months - it was great - I'm 5 11 and I totally agree - the handle is way too short! It seems that lots of strollers are short - oh well! You'll love how light it is if you use the busses - the basket underneath is very small compared to the big evenflo we used to take with our older daughter. Have fun!

Thanks for the replies. Where can i test an Aria by peg perego? I have been looking at them on line. I am 5'6" and my husband is 6'1", I was hoping the handle wasn't too short but it seems like it might be. DO you think it's possible to find all the features we want in one stroller? I'm beginning to think not! Well I guess what is most important to us is easy folding and lightweight. Our last trip to DW nearly drove my husband insane trying to hurry up and get the stroller folded and on to the bus, etc. I can't remember, do you have to fold up the stroller on the monorail? We stayed at the poly last time and I think I remember that at the monorail at the TTC, they made us fold up the stroller?

We have both the Aria single and the Aria twin, which we'll be bringing to Disneyworld. We loved the single so much, we bought the double once DD2 was born. It is SO lightweight and easy to fold up. We got both of ours from Babies R Us, and I'm not sure if what they had in the store was online or not. Definitely a good buy.

The Aria got mixed reviews on babiesrus.com, most people said that if you were going to spend the money, you should just get the Pliko, which is about $100 more.

We have a lightweight Graco stroller that we will be taking to Disney. It is a modified umbrella that reclines, has a storage basket, canopy, and even has a removable tray for DH - it is a great little stroller.

We have the Pliko. DH is making me take it to WDW instead of buying a new Combi like I want to ––*I think the Pliko is way to heavy and bulky. Plus, it doesn't fold very well for me (although he can do it with one hand. I think I'm just stroller-challenged). But since we're going to be in the park only one day (DH has a conference) I'm not really worried about it. DD22mos. likes it and is comfortable with it (although she'd rather walk).

If you have a Right Start near you go check out the Inglesina Espresso, it's like the Aria with an adjustable handle and a few extras! It's on sale for $99! :cheer2:

The hood is virtually non-existent, so be sure to make other plans to block the sun!! Also, the wheels are quite small and don't work well except on VERY smooth (indoor) surfaces. BRU normally carries these.

We just took our 9 month old in this exact stroller two weeks ago. It was great! It is very light, she has lots of room in the seat part (she is already over 20 lbs) The canopy is small, but it covers her when it is reclined and she is sleeping. A RayShade might be a good idea to buy. I tried the stroller out in Babies R Us. I don't think there is a perfect stroller, I searched a lot, but this worked out for us in Disney World quite well. Good luck!

DH thinks I'm nuts when it comes to strollers. I care not to comment on the # we had by the time ds was 9mths old. They all serve a different purpose. However, this is one that DH and I both agree on. He gave me a really hard time about it until he used it. I thinks it's one of our best purchases now. Could it have a couple things to make it better? Yeah. But like you said I don't think you can truely find one w/ everything. Hence the reason we have so many. We tried the Pliko and didn't care for it. We already had a big stroller. Even if we didn't I don't know if we would have fallen for it. I think it is bulky also and I don't like the way it folds.

That being said though, I think we are taking our Chicco London to the World b/c of the bigger canopy.

I have the Aria. It's terrific for taking to Disney. Folds up nice and easy, you can carry it in one hand and your child in the other while getting onto the bus. The cupholder stinks. Mine broke at Disney. (I didn't care b/c it's too small anyway...a problem with most of the Pegs.)

Back home though I prefer to use my Graco Metrolite during regular days. Aria is great for traveling, but the Graco, although a few pounds heavier, is a better everyday stroller (cupholder, better basket, much better canopy).

If you get the Aria for Disney, buy a canopy extender from babierus. The Aria canopy is not that great.
