Yup, we regularly hit 10-12 miles, and 15 is easy to do at Epcot.

3-4 miles/hr is a pretty comfortable walking speed (don't know about with a stroller). So if you spend just 4 hours of your day walking (rest in lines and sitting), you can hit 10-15 easily.

I have never done 15 miles. I did notice we did close to a mile at AK (half a day) and later that day did 1 mile in an hour walking around the countries at Epcot.

15 miles sounds like a lot!

I've always wanted to get a pedometer and measure how far we walk on the average day at WDW. I think I will on the next trip.

You don't necessarily need to have a pedometer to know how many miles you walk when you're at Disney. You can get fairly close by printing out several of the posts from the DIS that give the mileage/distances around each of the parks.

*sorry, don't have the link handy*

Just keep track of how many times you walk the circumference of the World Showcase, how many times you circle the MK on foot and you should be able to get a good idea of your daily mileage.

(and I bet most people would be surprised how far they DO walk when they're in The World!)

I wore a pedometer at WDW one trip. I ranged from 5 to 11 miles per day. most days were around 7 miles.

I just did this on my Feb and May trips. In Feb We did 95 Miles in 7 Days from town car drop off at Pop century hotel until we got back in town car. This was also during a pin pursuit where I had poor DH all over 4 parks and 3 resorts in 1 day.

In May we did 80 miles in 7 days.

Bothtrips were adults only and using disney transport for most part.

Most days were about 7-10 miles with e-nights adding an additional 2-3 miles.

I knew I walked alot there but I didn't realize how much!
Cool info, thanks!

It sounds high. I'm going to use one in August. I thought it would - be more in 7 - 10 mile range.

I'm sure it depends on how efficient you are. And at Epcot, for example, we'll be in Mexico and suddenly get the urge for fish and chips, or getting off Test Track and realizing that great show at Morroco is about to start.

I remember during my solo trip I had to reset the pedometer after I rode Rock n Roller coaster a few times.

::yes::

Try being a pin collector there.... I bet we walk atleast 15 miles... Just from lanyard to lanyard and pin cart to pin cart...

I was just wondering how much the average visitor walked at WDW. 15 miles seems a little high to me.

I read in a guidebook...can't remember which one, probably the Unofficial Guide...that the average guest walks 6 miles a day.

I wore one of our past trip and the average was 9 miles a day.

The most I have ever done was a little over 11 and that was in 'commando' (3 parks in one day) mode. I slept very well that night. ::yes::
