My friend's 8 year old son has Duchenne's muscular dystrophy. He is going on a WISH trip later this year on a Disney cruise, and his family is adding on some time at Universal (they were recently at WDW). He has a pediatric ECV at home and is experienced with using it, and his family wanted to know if there is anywhere in Orlando that rents the smaller sized scooters for children. I think they just want it for use at Universal, not on the ship. I checked the websites of some of the more common places listed here, but it didn't look like they rent the pediatric sizes. Thank you!

No.
I have never heard anyone having pediatric sized ECVs for rent.
He could bring his with. It would be transported on the airplane free of charge.

The ship cabins can be small and the ECV might not even fit unless it is very small if they don't have an accessible room.

Wasn't there a previous discussion about whether or not a juvenile could use an ECV, even their own, at WDW without running into problems with the ECV policy there? Was there ever a resolution to that question?

If the wish is through MAW, they may be able to do the trntal. They provided all the equipment we needed, including iv pole, oxygen concentrator, and smart vest machine. They might have come across this situation before, and id they have not they likely have the contacts to find a provider

Did you try Care Medical? They seem to offer the widest variety of equipment, and if they don't have pediatric ECVs Kay be able to direct you.
