Pedestrian bridge from parking structures to Downtown Disney opening 9/13

I’m personally excited about this and have been trying to get a view on the construction progress each time I go. Ever since Pixar pals structure opened it takes forever to get on the tram at the end of the day. Usually I’d say screw it and just walk through Downtown Disney and back to parking structure. Only problem with that was that you’d have to cross two crosswalks and backtrack slightly to the parking structure entrance for pedestrians. I know, small problems, but this will save a little time and make the walk more enjoyable.

I saw the video and it is absolutely beautiful through the bridge and into the promenade between the two parking structures. Even walking from the bridge to DTD looks very peaceful.

I cannot WAIT to try this bridge! I almost always walk to the parks from Mickey and Friends because it’s too hard to get my stroller onto the tram.

trying to find the best place to park and this may be good with visiting DTD early and then the parks later in the day for the Oogie Boogie Bash. I see they were set to open the bridge yesterday.

Anyone try it yet. How long from the parking structure to DTD using this route?

From the bridge to the security line was 5:30 walking with a 6yo and a 4yo. That’s shorter than the walk used to be and it’s much more pleasant.

Very excited to see this. I know it's been a while since we had parking next to DTD, but we used to park there for a meal in DTD and then sometimes we'd want to go to parks for a little while. We also had to choose between parking the car twice or paying the max amount for DTD parking.

I'm still really bummed about the loss of that parking lot because I used to often park there to grab lunch at DTD and maybe hit the parks for a couple hours while the kids are at school. It's not really convenient to do this now with the DTD parking SO far away. This bridge does help, but really only if you are parked in the Pixar Pals section as it can be a LONG walk from the far reaches of the M&F structure.
