Pecos Bill's - good and bad

We ate lunch at Pecos Bill's in MK last week and it was delicious. Took awhile standing in line, but they had a great hamburger fixings bar with chopped onions, sauteed onions, sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled pepper slices, etc. etc. You can really "dress up" your burger and it was very tasty.

The one bad thing to note that happened: they have round tables with square stools that don't have arms or backs. The stools are actually pretty efficient because you can pull up as many as you need around your table. In one area of the restaurant, there are stone columns and the stones stick up in a random pattern (they're supposed to look like they are stacked up, I guess, instead of being mortared in like bricks are). Anyway, a little girl maybe 4-5 years old fell backwards off her stool and hit the back of her head on the stone column; she cried hard for a long time and it bled a lot. Her family asked a CM for help and another lady - maybe the manager - came over and told them where the closest first aid station was. I heard the manager ask at least twice if they wanted someone to walk them there, but they said they could find it.

None of the stools we had were tippy, but small children may not be used to sitting in a chair with no back, so just keep an eye on them if you are near a column or a wall. Kellie

We ate here the last week of May and it was the only counter service meal that we really did *not* like. My daughter and husband thought the hamburger was nasty. The apples I got with my chicken wrap had a strong "dirt" taste to it (only way I can think to describe it). The CM who took our orders for us was very rude to me as well. We had just checked into the WL that afternoon and were on the dining plan. This was our first attempt ever using the dining plan and when he swiped my card he said we had no meals left. I nicely explained that we had just checked in and had the dining plan for 7 days and this was the first time we were using it. He was very rude...didn't try to help me at all. Just told me I was going to have to pay for them because we had no meals left on the card. When I refused to pay he said that I would have to go back to the WL to have it corrected. I explained to him that I had my whole family at the MK and we were hungry and were not going to all go back to the hotel right that minute just to have this fixed. I had to ask for a manager who let me have the meal but was not very nice about it either. Their service, coupled with the nasty hamburgers, did not leave a good taste in my mouth about this place. We had much better meals (counter service) elsewhere.
