Pearson question - Reduced rate lot

Hi everyone!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from the reduced rate lot into Terminal 1? I've never taken the LINK train before and I couldn't really tell from the GTAA site how many or how often the train runs.

Should I be budgeting an extra 20-30 minutes?

Not very long. I'd say 20 minutes should suffice. Depending on where you park, you might have a 5 minute walk to the LINK terminal, and then (depending on what time of day) maybe a 5 minute wait for a train. I remember the trains running pretty frequently, at least during peak hours.

The lot was being refurbished recently though and trains weren't running (they had shuttle buses instead). I also read reports of people being directed to other lots. Hopefully someone who's been there recently can report as to whether or not the construction is still ongoing.

EDIT - The GTAA website says construction is still ongoing, as of August 11 anyways. Has anyone used the reduced rate lot in the last little while? I'm wondering if Park & Fly might be the route to go this trip.

I used that lot on Sep 14. There was ongoing construction but plenty of spots available and the LINK trains were in operation.

Thanks!!! Glad to hear the train is up & running. Hopefully there will be spots on the Thanksgiving weekend, we've never done the airport on a long weekend before!

We recently used tried to use that lot and we were redirected to use the lot inside of the terminal for the same cost...actually we had a coupon also and it was honoured as well.
