Pearson/Air Canada Check-in Times

Ihave a flight that leaves at 6:30am. I know I can do the main check-in thourgh the Air canada Kiosk, but then you have to do a further check-in to drop off your luggage. I was told the Air Canada reps don't arrive until 6am. Is this true? They usually start loading the plane at least 30 minutes before take-off. How is this possible if they won't even have mu luggage until after 6. have never taken a US flight so early in the day and panic is setting in....

So, did I hear that 6am start time wrong? Maybe 5am? Does anyone know?

Do as you were told arrive 3 hrs before your flight there will be someone there to take your luggage and check you in. Dont worry enjoy your trip.

You will be fine in TO, but coming home I've had to wait 1hr for AC agents to show up at MCO. You should be at the airport no later then 430am if your flight leaves at 630.

If your flight is for that early of a time, there will be staff there for you.

If you booked online or have e-tickets, you should get an email from AC to print out your boarding pass from home, ahead of time the night before. We did, then only had to present the bp w/ our passports when we went to the "Web Check In" counter @ Pearson. Have a wonderful trip!!!!!

My expereince is at Pearson, 2 hhours is not enough to get thru secuirty. Sleep at the Shareton at the airport. Worth the peace of mind.

The Air Canada site says the recommended check-in time is 90 minutes.

I have that 6:30 AM flight too and will probably be there at 5AM. I don't think the airport will be very busy at that time of day.

Interesting. We fly in to Pearson on a Saturday at 6:45 am and will be flying out at 10:15 am. I hope three hours will be enough time to get through security. Any thoughts on this?

Are you flying in and out of the same terminal?

I believe we are flying in and out of terminal 2.

Terminal 2 is just a pile of rubble now.
As long as your flying with the same airline on both legs of your journey you should have plenty of time

You should be fine. Three hours is what I always allow myself.
