Pearls from Japan..anyone ever get a terrific one??

Actually, the last two times we were there I got some really nice pearls! last time I got an oyster with double black pearls - not huge ones but really nice 6 mms and the time before that I got a really beautiful pink one 8 mms! it has become a family tradition to do the pearls in Japan for me and my daughter. HAVE FUN!

I remember that pearl diving attraction at Sea World. I remember having one of those plastic cameras that when you clicked the button showed you different images from Sea World and the pearl diving lady was one of them.

Goodness - that had to have been 25 years ago or more.

Sea World in CA had the pearl divers fifteen years ago. I don't know if they do anymore. It was so exciting to get those pearls. You have all just given me a great idea. I will get mine and my mother's pearls set for my wedding.

What are the different settings you can get your pearls in? And how long does it take? are they very secure in the settings? I would be worried that the pearl would fall out.

I would love to know more about this... I think I would love for my little 4 yr old to pick one out for Mommy and get something special done with it..
