Hi,
We are in the early stages of planning our first cruise for 2006 Eastern 7 night. We can travel anytime (kids aren't in school yet). I was wondering if there were times to avoid other than the holiday weeks. If the ship is at capacity it the pool overcrowded. Thanks so much
Tara

I'd be looking at January, February or March (nowhere around spring break time however). Weather at home still dicey to downright yucky, weather in the caribbean - Perfect!!

Before my kids started school, we always did late fall WDW trips. Our last cruise was in mid November, the price was good, weather was perfect!!

avoid major school break periods.

if you don't mind the possibility of a hurricane ;) then after Labor Day through mid-November might not be bad, along with after New Year's Day through late February.

The ship often sails near capacity, even at "slow" times. The difference is that it will sell cheaper than the capacity holiday sailings. There are, however, often fewer children during the school year - but a lot of people pull their kids from school or have breaks when you may not expect.

We found early January to be comparable to the Fall pricewise, with no hurricane possibilities. Ship was full, but didn't feel crowded. Good luck.
